What if (and I mean WHAT IF) this is all being put out there, simply to light a fire under Jason Campbell's butt? What if this is being put out there as an attempt to see if he can step his game up to the next level?
It's probably just a rumor...I'm just throwing it out there.
I think Campbell will be better with more passing options and a better O-Line. Give him a chance!

But their fondness of Campbell is more like "he's such a good guy, we're really rooting for him" They think they can win with Campbell (unlike Ramsey, for example)...which isn't necessarily the same as Colt, who they think they can win because of (except not for another year or two at least)
It's kinda like the Redskins are Zack Morris and Campbell is their good friend Lisa Turtle. They hang out, help each other out with their problems, believe in each other and yeah they kissed once and it felt ok...but Colt Brennan is the brass ring, he's Kelly Kapowski. He's the one they want to take all the way....(gotta stop watching Saved by the Bell reruns in the morning).

Smoot, never even watched saved by the bell, but I get the analogy. If Dennis Miller was still on MNF he might've used this & claimed it as his own!
vallin21 03-18-2009, 10:45 AM JC better step up or his butt is leaving as is Cerrato's. This is the make or brake year for JC. I would trade for Cutler next year if he was available, but I think he gets traded to Minnesota.

Yeah I initially had used Jessie but then switched to Lisa, not really sure why. I guess so people didn't think I was claiming Campbell had an addiction to pills (I'm so excited!) and was headed for a future as a Vegas showgirl :)

I've gotten caught slipping ending up watching it but I had to just change the channel as soon as Married With Children goes off !!! I like to go with Malcolm in The Middle at 7.
Anyway, I hope that trade is as real as my Powerball dreams ! We might as well see what Jason and Colt McCoy I mean Brenan (Too much Friday Night Lights!!) can do in the preseason and ultimately Jason during the season. He had a good start but trailed off at the end but the coaches did as well. Hopefully we get better results this year but hey. We just have to wait and see.

I do, too. Although I'm not sold on Campbell, I think that, now that he has learned Zorn's system, we need to find out if he can be the so-called Franchise QB for this team.
Bringing in a new QB who would face the same steep learning curve that JC faced last season would definitely be a step back, at least in the short term.

I really don't think the team has anything to do with this rumor. The writing is already on the wall for JC, a retarded rumor isn't needed.
