Well, this right here is the type of attitude you want from your leader and signal caller, not the crybaby bullsh*t Cutler is pulling.

Campbell Unfazed by Lack of Extension - Redskins Insider (http://voices.washingtonpost.com/redskinsinsider/2009/03/campbell_unfazed_by_lack_of_ex.html)

The crybaby thing is just a huge act to help his desire to get out of Denver. Do you think Denver is going to just decide to trade him all on there own? Maybe this guy wants to go to a team that might have the actual potential of going to a SB in the near future and has a nice flashy owner who likes to spend $$$$$$$$$$ rather liberally. Dan Snyder= Jerry Jones of the East. Personally I don't care if Campbell is unfazed, that doesn't have anything to do with on the field leadership. Thing is he might be liking the idea of possibly going to Denver. I can see him excel in Denver facing the AFC West. A lot nicer scenery also.

Boy, I hope we don't mortgage the future to get this guy.. We need to keep our draft picks

I agree EK, Cutler might be a slight upgrade to Campbell, but not enough of an upgrade to give up draft picks, at least high end draft picks.

I think he's staying for 2009. And hopefully the team will realize they can win with and because of him.

If it were me, I think I'd have already locked him up long-term. But I think he stays this year, maybe gets franchised next year, but 2011? Who knows

I hope you are correct with your first prediction.

Onto the second. The ONLY WAY JC remains a Redskin next year and beyond is if this team is a playoff caliber team this season IMO. If not hes done.

This is unconfirmed.

However, an inside source says a trade will bring Jay Cutler to Washington is almost complete.

The leak came roughly about one hour ago. Negotiations between Cutler’s agent, Pat Bowlen, Daniel Snyder, and the Cleveland Browns management have been ongoing for a few days and all sides seem to be happy.

The deal would see Jay Cutler, Tony Scheffler, and Cleveland’s third round pick going to Washington.

Jason Campbell and Chris Cooley going to Cleveland and one of Denver’s fifth round picks.

Brady Quinn going from Cleveland to Denver, and LaRon Landry from Washington will be going to Denver. We thought that the Bailey-Portis trade was big. "ProFootballTalk.com"

If this happens, I'll never watch another Redskins game again.

Did you read the article?

"I always put team goals first, I'm always going care about that before anything individual. But as long as we win as a team, everybody will get what they deserve. That's what it's about."

That's the kind of thing you want to hear your QB saying. I'm commending the Jason's attitude. And that does say something about his leadership.

Denver has been aggressive thus far in FA improving their team, including 7 guys on defense-their weak spot. They always have a good running game, plus Cutler has one of the best receivers in the league who can be his go to guy for 7-10 years. And, as you mention, he gets to play against the AFC West. Cutler is already playing for a good team.

Also, look at the teams rumored to be in the mix for Cutler - Cleveland? Detroit? Not exactly a chance to get to a SuperBowl any time soon.

So you think Colt is going to complain to be traded next year?

No I think colt will be a great QB and the next young talented QB with great accuracy and a rocket arm...

But if the Redskins really don't think Campbell is their future (and I think they'd be mistaken not to think so) then they might as well trade him now I guess

I think JC is going to do just fine this year. I also think Colt is going to be better than a lot of people here think he is. If, IF, Campbell does not have the kind of year he's expected to have in the second year of this offense, then I would like to see Colt given a shot next year, 2010. If JC does continue to get better and Colt does too, that only makes us that much better. To bring another QB in right now would do more harm than good IMO.
