I think a guy like June is someone that will probably still be around after the draft so there's no rush really to look at him.
I wonder if Crowell's knee is in worse shape than is being let on, because there has been almost no interest in him around the league, save for a couple of teams. And this is a young, stud LB.
Maybe the team could take a look at the guy who ultimately replaced MW in Indy, Tyjuan Hagler.
I guess you're right about June. Maybe given Crowell's knee injury they don't feel like he'd be an upgrade over Fincher and Sinclair? I don't know. I'm just a bit surprised we haven't really done anything at the LB position yet.
Maybe we should start a "how would you address the LB position?" thread.

we have a championship caliber defense for the most part champ
We need to be able to raise our sack and int total to me, in order to be a championship caliber defense
Solution: get a good DE

Getting MW back with a cheaper deal would make a lot of sense. Plus I could keep wearing his jersey. :)
I know. I refuse to be one of those guys who wear a players jersey that now plays for another team. (Loyld-Ramsey -Archuletta etc.)

Good point about June. It is also true that June is a little small to play the strong side. Same with Keiaho.

Marcus could have a great season at WLB and I hope that's what Blache has in mind... if he agrees to return on the predication he starts at SLB we're in a bit of trouble. I can just hear Aikman's voice "Joe it really looks like Marcus Washington has lost another step and yet the Redskins still have him trying to cover Witten. It's just not fair to a guy..."

I can just hear Aikman's voice "Joe it really looks like Marcus Washington has lost another step and yet the Redskins still have him trying to cover Witten. It's just not fair to a guy..."I'm just not a fan of this idea. The fact that Marcus was covering Witten one on one means that we had some asinine blitz call on, and the gamble was that Witten wouldn't release. Even Blache knows that's a huge mismatch.
Giving credit where it is due though, the Horton INT in that game was Blache's best call of the season.
Anyway, Marcus only really fits in our defense on the Strong Side. If he's man covering anybody, it should be the fullback. Flat zone coverage, or let him get after the QB all the way.

Regardiing MW,
I'd would have rather resigned Springs or Taylor.
I think MW is done

He's 31. I doubt he's done.

Tennessee and Denver are considering Daniels along with the Skins.
I dont think anyone is considering Wynn.
I would be happy to get Daniels back
