Im sure one of them could be useful if were looking for some veteran depth... but neither should/could be projected to start if they were signed.

this may be the position we have to hold at until next year.. who knows, maybe they figure with haynesworth and the rest of the line we'll be good enough

Like it or not you can't have young studs at every position on the team. Daniels and Wynn are clearly stop gaps and they should do fine in that role.
I think that that's what people fail to see here.. no team has superstars at every position.

Remember defense wins championships...worry about the dline and linebackers in the draft first then Oline second
we have a championship caliber defense for the most part champ

The writing is on the wall and why some of us can't see it is really hard to believe. If Daniels and Wynn are picked up it's probably due to the fact Wilson, Jackson & Buzzbee aren't stout against the run yet the FO still wants to develope/use one or two of the three in pass rush situations. If the move is made to bring both on then I don't see the FO addressing the DE position at all in the draft! They'll either go RT or LB (play maker all of you have been asking for) in the first! If they can trade down and pick up a second then there is a possibility that all three positions will be addressed; however, trades are hard to pull off! I like the move to bring both at a vet min! No matter which DE is in there, AH makes them better. Lets get a difference maker at LB to complement AH or another bookend RT to complement the whole damn offense!

Looks like the team wants MW. He wants to test the market...after being injured a lot I don't know how much $$ he's going to get. The same goes for Daniels, he wants to test the market, but I wonder how much more money he's going to get.

Getting MW back with a cheaper deal would make a lot of sense. Plus I could keep wearing his jersey. :)

It would make sense from a $$ standpoint, but won't diminish his injury history. Don't get me wrong, I love the guy, but I just don't understand why we haven't shown interest in guys like Cato June or Angelo Crowell.

I'm not so sure I want MW back. I think the position was pretty weak last year overall as a unit, and even with the addition of Haynesworth (I knew he's a DT, but his presence should make things easier for the linebackers) we need to make improvements.

Now I like MW a lot, but if we re-sign him are we just going to put him out there as the starting SAM again and then spend the season wonder about his health? And is the WILL the best place for Rocky, or should he add some pounds and moved to the strong side?

The linebacker situation probably belongs in its own thread, but I think we need to add at least one young player to the rotation (even if we expect Fincher and/or Sinclair and/or Tyson Smith to emerge).

I think a guy like June is someone that will probably still be around after the draft so there's no rush really to look at him.

I wonder if Crowell's knee is in worse shape than is being let on, because there has been almost no interest in him around the league, save for a couple of teams. And this is a young, stud LB.

Maybe the team could take a look at the guy who ultimately replaced MW in Indy, Tyjuan Hagler.
