Probably non-news, but worth a read I suppose. The bit about Malcolm Kelly becoming the next Andre Johnson was pretty funny.

I saw that article, but it doesn't really sound like any new developments, just the local tennessee newspaper kicking up dirt.
It would be nice to see one of last years pick just go all out this season.

our only hope of having a well run front office is for snyder to no longer be owner of the team and snyders never gonna sell. perhaps our great-grandchildren will have a better owner.
Ha! Some of us a bit younger than lil Danny can reasonably hope to see the day he sells the team... i'm a jerk for gloating but i'd be a liar to not admit how much i look forward to that day.

So would you say you look forward more to the first SB won under Snyder, or the day he sells it?

I just hope they have more proof then people having seen Snyder eating dinner with an agent who co-incidently is the agent for both Haynesworth and Kelly.
It's also funny how they act like we signed Haynesworth at 12:01am. That would make me wonder but I still would have to say even that's not enough proof. How do we know Haynesworth had not already told his agent to make a contract with certain stipulations in it and have it ready to fax to teams when they called at 12:01am. It took 5-6 hours to get Haynesworth signed. Perhaps look over a contract and make changes to it. In this day and age when most contract stuff is all on software so it can be done quickly is a no brainer and if they e-mailed it back and forth with the changes until all parties were satisfied then it could have easily been done in probably 3-4 hours or perhaps less. Most of the mumbo jumbo is what's in all contracts. The agents and players know where to look at in the contract that interests them most.
Perhaps PFT should be looked at for tampering when they mentioned T.O. would be let go by the Cowboys way before the FA. I think they are either Titan fans or Bill fans and had alternative motives in trying to have T.O. cut so their team could pick him up. I wonder if they had dinner with T.O. prior to FA. I'm sure someone could vouch having seen a top PFT executive having dinner prior to mid. lol. ;)

No reason to read any further, that site is a joke...it's the National Enquirer of football news.
Agreed. Any website with a section called "turd watch" can only be taken so seriously. To be honest I only check them out after I've exhausted all the headlines from SI, ESPN, and NFL.com. I'm surprised how much they're into being a watchdog while they frequently report stories that seem to have little to no substance to them. For goodness sakes according to them last year we had contracts for Drayton Florence and DJ Hacket lined up before free agency started.
Of course I will admit the whole situation does seem shakey and my gut tells me the Redskins technically did tamper.

Yea, but unfortunatly "gut" feelings don't matter in a court of law. My gut told me O.J. killed his wife but the evidence didn't hold water. lol.

Of course we tampered. Anyone who thinks Haynesworth wasn't the topic of discussion at Snyder's dinner with his agent is just flat out dumb. Not to mention all the discussions that take place at the combine. That place is Tamperville, USA. It's whether or not the accusing team has any proof that's worth a damn. Snyder has made waaaay to many big name FA acquisitions in the past to be dumb enough to get caught tampering.

Whether they pursue it or not, what are they going to do to us, make us LESS draft oriented?! LOL

Yes we get it. and you are correct that they will have to have some form of proof. So they file a complaint with the Commish. He will have to look into it. How do you suppose he does that? He will contact the agent and ask what was the topic a the dinner. Then he will contact Snyder and ask what was the topic at dinner? If the stories are pretty close and don't involve Haynesworth, guess what......nothings going to happen. Unless the Titans had a tape recorder under the table, or had a boom mike on the table from outside the resturuant, or the agent or Snyder said yes we talked about Haynesworth, or the team had someone sitting relatively close to the table to hear/tape the whole conversation then they got Zilch. Nadda. One big waste of time. All it will accomplish is creating a rift between two owners which may be no big deal unless one has some rule he wants passed and needs the others vote.
The team is just pissed cause they lost their anchor to their defense. Now they have to go out and find another probably through the draft. They built the defense around him and now they have lost their center piece. cry, cry, sniff, sniff, pout, pout..."were going to complain cause someone offered more money then us. Even though we are not in CAP hell."
I mean why complain? They gave a fair market value to him. He wanted out. If he didn't want out he wouldn't have tested the market. He would have said ok I'll sign cause I love this city. Instead he decided to test the market. The Skins offered more. Why argue and fight over someone who does not want to be with you any more? or is it their being greedy and wanting another 1st round draft pick so to complain hopefully the Commish will say "Even though there's no proof I totally believe the Skins Tampered so we will award the Titans the Skins 1st rounder." I don't see that happening.
Go file your complaint Titans. Make yourself look like asses. Make history.
