44ever 03-03-2009, 08:22 PM Tuna Master Plan. Knowing the Skins would bite. Taylor was used as a spy and a draft pick burglar................ I don't know after 21 pages of Jason Taylor Released it's all I got left :)............... It would be interesting if he ended up back in Miami.

53Fan 03-03-2009, 09:05 PM Whatever delusions you have about Willis, you have no evidence to make your "bottom line" point that Heyer isnt a starting OT in this league. Heyer is supposed to be a RT and he's never had significant playing time there since his rookie season... when he impressed. Considering he had to play LT in place of a pro-bowler last year, i would say he was pretty darn impressive last year too.
Weve never heard anything from people within redskins park indicating they didnt think Heyer was not a starting caliber RT. We have some in the organizaiton who think he can be. others have doubts, but no one has indicated theres no way hes a starting RT - so how in the world did you reach that conclusion?
I tend to agree with this. Most players don't play as well out of position and Heyer is no exception. His best position is RT. In a recent interview Buges said Heyer can be as good as he wants to be. He also said he had come a long way since he first got here and had trouble adjusting to his own size at first. I don't know if he had a late growth spurt or what but that's what he said. I think he deserves a shot. I still see nothing wrong with taking a quality OT in the draft. If Heyer is not as good as the rookie he is still a valuable back up.
MiraclesHappen07 03-03-2009, 09:09 PM I like Bertrand berry, wouldnt might mind bringing him in. What about Cromwell? is he still on the market, i dont see him on your list of top free agents left.
skinsfan_nn 03-03-2009, 09:10 PM But we know they are impulsive and don't have any plans, so they should be spending it as fast as they get it. (and actually, I kinda figured they would have signed someone by now also)
I think they have done a really good job with the three signings so far, kudos to Dan/Vinny and the FO. Yes of course impulsive isn't out of the question, Dan Snyder is the owner.
But for what reason would you think they don't have 'any plans'...? Explain. All the other moves have been well thought/planned out, expect Dock he became available unexpectedly and happened to be an area of need for the team.
I totally disagree with the they don't have 'any plans' for the next move. I'm quite sure they have a solid game plan for the next move or moves in the FA market.

Sorry, I was being sarcastic, I sometimes forget to indicate it. I am very happy with the FO. I think they do solid research and plan accordingly. In fact I am now thinking that they really were surprised that Taylor would not agree to the terms, and so now they are re-thinking and studying who can be the best help with the players left on the market.

34 years old 09 season. No thanks. He hasnt been able to play a full season in three years.
06 - 10 games
07 - 9 games
08 - 14 games
He does get some sacks though 13.5 in three years.
FA's are looking a little weak.

Dude we've all seen him play enough last year and he wasdn't that special. Whatever delusions you have about Heyer being our next RT is crazy. I guess if you want to think he's an ALL Pro RT after once good start that's fine, but you'll be dissapointed when Heyer is relegated to the bench Opening Day.

ahhhh, alright. but i still wouldnt mind bringing him in, and berry.
