Cooley is a tradeable commodity at this time next year. He's absolutely going to be here in 2009 though, that's not up for debate.

He was talking about JT not liking it here. Not Cooley.

Yeah, he actually came off as somewhat of a jerk in that interview. And he said that he didn't "fit in at all" in Washington. With an attitude like that, perhaps we are not missing much having him gone. Except for missing 2 draft picks, that is.

I like Boss but I would take Cooley in a NY min!

thank god for this, now we can pick up another OL in FA, and we can draft a LB in the draft. win win, he was a prima donna anyways, and we are better off.

Did anyone see the cooley interview? he basically said I don't like it here.

You're talking about JT saying he did'nt like it here, not Cooley, right?

By the way, the Sports Reporters are turning into the radio version of JLC. All they could do when the news of JT's release came about was to remind everyone repeatedly how stupid the team was for getting him in the first place. Granted, the team now looks stupid for having traded for JT, but they failed to mention how the team has the cap room to plug some holes (something that they were screaming about when AH was signed). Not to mention how they proceeded to talk about the pathetic Nats. Once again, I miss Riggo and his crew, they would've slammed the team (well at least Sheehan) but also would've talk about who the team can go after or how this changes the team's offseason plans.

i agree, there are so many haters out there. i cant take it sometimes, I cant imagine how the players and the FO do it.

Phew, good to get that cleared up.

He was talking about JT not liking it here. Not Cooley.I figured as much, but I do think my boy needs to really have a nice year in receiving this year. This is probably the wrong thread for this though.

I am glad Cooley has kept a low profile this offseason thus far. As one of the team leaders, what the Redskins are doing this offseason seems pretty objectionable, but good for the long term health of the franchise.

Let's get it straight...Jason Taylor said he did not like the Redskins in Cooley's blog.

They cry themselves to the bank every pay day.
These guys are adult professionals and they are makng a ton of money.
You do not have to feel sorry for them.
PLus this is DC. It has alwys been this way when it comes to the Redskins.
They worships them when they are winning and throw them under thebus when they are losing. It has always been this way.
You have to have thick skin.

JT needed to go especially for 3.5 sacks with an 8.5 mil salary. It gives us 8.5 mil in cap to sign Evans, and Crowell (LB from Buffalo) to fill in as a 1-2 year starter. Then draft a OT at 13, but if Oher or Smith are gone we trade down and draft Alex Mack.

How do they do it? They do it by getting million dollar paychecks for playing a kids game for 5-6 months out of the year, that's how they do it. Duh!
As for Taylor, this looks more like they found an excuse to get rid of him and have been setting up another scenario, maybe having to do with trading up or down and are after somebody specific in the draft.
