Ruhskins 03-02-2009, 08:14 PM I hope this isn't redundant but Comcast reported that it didn't have to do w/ his salary. The FO wanted him to sign an addendum about offseason workouts w/ the team...being in DC 75 percent of the time. He refused to sign it so he was cut. Very odd.
Why didn't this come out last year? Why didn't they bring it up then?
We sent a 2nd round pick for a 1 year rental. Very nice move VC. He's really turned over a new leaf by building thru the draft for one year.
I was for the trade btw...only if JT played a full two years. He was going to be healthy again and he's a HOF player w/ immense talent. He had some major injuries to deal w/ last year and still sucked it up. Nice one Vinny. Way to waste another high round draft pick.
I was for the trade and I was looking forward to having JT one more year healthy. Like the Haynesworth trade, it bugged me that he was taking 8.5 mil of cap space with so many other needs. Bottom line, the Redskins are getting rid of old players and getting younger players. Granted they are expensive, but they are young. Baby step people, baby steps.

All they could do when the news of JT's release came about was to remind everyone repeatedly how stupid the team was for getting him in the first place. Granted, the team now looks stupid for having traded for JT, but they failed to mention how the team has the cap room to plug some holes (something that they were screaming about when AH was signed). Not to mention how they proceeded to talk about the pathetic Nats. Once again, I miss Riggo and his crew, they would've slammed the team (well at least Sheehan) but also would've talk about who the team can go after or how this changes the team's offseason plans.

Great. The day is getting better and better. Cooley is probably pissed because the lazy rookie (now second year player) has more talent than him.

Yeah, he actually came off as somewhat of a jerk in that interview. And he said that he didn't "fit in at all" in Washington. With an attitude like that, perhaps we are not missing much having him gone. Except for missing 2 draft picks, that is.
