Apparently someone from Wikipedia can see the future and has him going to the Steelers on Saturday (I'm guessing this will be corrected soon)

Jason Paul Taylor (born September 1, 1974 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) is an American football defensive end who is currently a free agent. He was originally drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the third round of the 1997 NFL Draft. He played college football at Akron.

Taylor has also played for the Washington Redskins in 2008 and signed to the Pittsburgh Steelers on March 7th, 2009 to a 1 year/$5 million dollars.

^That's funny as hell! I def feel more moves coming. That was a lot of money going to an unproductive player.

I'm going to start lobbying for this guy if we sign a RT and trade down.

Michael Johnson - 6'6 - 266 lbs - DE - Georgia Tech - 9.0 Sacks in 2008
Plus he's already up to speed on our lines 'technique'. I think the best way to describe him is a poor man Julius Peppers.

Great choice my friend, If we trade down in the 20's this guy is a great value ..... Pick up a RT in FA.....-Add 2nd round OT Jamon Meredith for the future.....

As unproductive as he was for us, I don't think this is a good move. Jason Taylor was hurt all year and playing on the wrong side of the line. I think if we gave him another shot and put him on the proper side we would have seen more production. I understand that 8.5 million is a lot to pay a guy who only had 3.5 sacks. However, we are now SUPER thin at DE. Do we sign someone, resign Taylor at a lower price, or draft a new DE?

amen! i was expecting taylor to have a big year this year! it would be his 2nd year in the defense and last years injury was a freak one that most likely wouldnt happen again.

Sign Ray Willis, Demetric Evans, then draft Rey Maualuga. After that get a third round Center or Guard.

Now That Idea is MONEY!!!!!!!!

I'll be honest as soon as I heard we cut Taylor I thought big signing is coming. I'll bet they try for Housh only cause that would give us a #1 WR to compliment our #2 Moss and #3 Randel El. That would allow Kelly and Thomas to learn from one of the best and fill in, in the rotation. I wouldn't mind Bolden but He's not a UFA. Which means we would probably have to give up a lot to get him.

I know, I know I'll get blasted for my thoughts but I came to my senses and thought like most of you....either go after a big Center or RT, DE, and LB. I forgot about a punter though.

With 12.5mill I could see them trying to see about a push for Housh, and go after either a Center or RT. Then pick up the other in the draft and a DE, LB. I mean with Springs 6 mill we saved plus the 1 or 3 mill we had under the CAP we went after AH, Hall, and Dock. 12.5mill could truly land us possibly Housh, a big named RT and a half decent Center or DE (perhaps Evans, just offer 1 more mill to the plate.).

I know I'll get blasted cause everyone wants OL, DL, and LB. but I could see Snyder and Cerratto calling Housh's agent to see what the numbers are, bring him in just to piss off Philli, and allow him to tear Philli apart during the games cause they snubbed him after he even showed interest in them. LOL.

Edited....found out Housh is a Seahawk. He should have held out one more day. lol.
