The problem isn't Campbell. The problem surrounds Campbell. He has an aging and increasingly ineffective offensive line blocking for him and he doesn't have a sure-fire No.1 WR. Do you guys really think Cutler is going to come in here and pick up where he left off with the Broncos last year. We don't have a player like Brandon Marshall who can pull down 18 catches in one game. Eddie Royal and Moss are similar but we lack the Andre Johnson/Marshall/Fitzgerald type of WR that Cutler relied so heavily on.
I think Campbell has done well for us under the circumstances. This is the first year he'll play in the same system for a second straight year since HS or damn close to it. He does and says all the right things. He's exactly the kind of player a team should want to build a team around. You don't hear Campbell pissing and moaning about not getting a contract extension or being mentioned in trade talks. He's a professional and he conducts himself like a man. Cutler is acting like a F'n baby! Knuckle up and play ball.

Wow. This is getting funnier by the minute. First he whines about Shanahan, then he asks to be traded quietly, then he's publicly outraged when the team complies with his original request, so he then re-requests to be traded more publicly. What the hell is going on here?

This is a circus I want no part of. Cutler is coming off as a crybaby primadonna and Bus Cook seems to be mishandling him. WTF??

REPORT: COOK WAS “BEGGING” FOR CUTLER TRADE (http://www.profootballtalk.com/2009/03/17/report-cook-was-begging-for-cutler-trade/)

A couple of weeks ago, Peter King of SI.com reported, almost in passing, that Broncos quarterback Jay Cutler asked to be traded (http://www.profootballtalk.com/2009/03/02/report-cutler-had-already-asked-for-a-trade/) after quarterbacks coach Jeremy Bates left for USC. If true, this would make Cutler’s outrage over nearly being traded a tad, shall we say, phony.
Now, John Czarnecki of FOXSports.com adds some meat to the bone, reporting that agent Bus Cook was “begging” the Broncos (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/9345936/Cutler%27s-agent-Cooks-up-another-drama) to trade Cutler before the failed attempt to send him to a new team.
“Denver told him no from the beginning,” Czarnecki writes. “But somehow Cook has been able — how hilarious is this? — to paint Cutler as some victim in the cruel world of NFLhttp://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/mag-glass_10x10.gif (http://www.profootballtalk.com/category/rumor-mill/#) trade talk.”
It’s the perfect setup for one of our new PFTV segments, in which we pin a nice chunk of the blame on the agent whose name rhymes with Pus Book.

Bus did the same thing last year with another client of his, Brett Favre. More than anything he's trying to get Cutler a new contract. So wherever he plays next year he wants it to be with a new, substantially more lucrative contract.

I'm pretty sure the Browns and the Jets are the teams involved in this rumored 3 team deal.

But the truth about the Redskins interest lies somewhere between serious talks and Jason is our QB

I don't understand how any of this gets Cutler closer to a bigger contract. Cutler is making an ass of himself, he's bickering with his coach, using the media as a mouthpiece, and demanding a new team.

But all it takes is one team to say we'll put up with that because he can play

reliable sources on extremeskins.com are saying the skins are interested. Cutler was the 12th pick when he was drafted. If Denver would take our 13th overall pick plus maybe Brennan, it would be a good deal for us. We could then trade Campbell for a second rounder to help recoup the pick.

It's called the T.O. effect.

They tried to trade him!!!!!!!!! Why would you blame Cutler. His whole life would be turned upside down if they traded him.

Oh man, if this place were a town some people would set it on fire. LOL.

On a serious note, aren't there other teams with more ammunition to trade for Cutler? Kinda like how Peppers wants to play for the Cowboys, but they have nothing to trade for him.
