I heard John Clayton tonight say that he has heard nothing about the Redskins being interested, but he wouldn't rule them out simply because of Snyder liking the big prize, but again he hasn't heard anything so far.
Seems like Cutler might be available.MTK 03-17-2009, 09:28 PM I heard John Clayton tonight say that he has heard nothing about the Redskins being interested, but he wouldn't rule them out simply because of Snyder liking the big prize, but again he hasn't heard anything so far. GMScud 03-17-2009, 09:32 PM Its even worse than you think. The DC Examiner, a legitimate newspaper is now reporting this as news as well. www.dcexaminer.com >> Sports (http://www.dcexaminer.com/sports/Do-Skins-want-Cutler-41399007.html) Apparently, thebleacherreport is a legitimate source now and no one - the DC Examiner writer, or his editor, noticed that the article was labeled humor. The idiots at extremeskins are having a field day with this. Newspapers are hurting these days. Nothing like making up "sources" to stir the pot and generate website hits for the vaunted DC Examiner. My guess is either this is a total fabrication, or the dude who wrote this realized the bleacherreport article was "humor" after posting his article. The Goat 03-17-2009, 10:15 PM What the hell is going on here? Is this serious or not? WaldSkins 03-17-2009, 10:26 PM What the hell is going on here? Is this serious or not? There's no way we unload Cooley or Landry, let alone both of them. The cap hit alone would kill us. BigHairedAristocrat 03-17-2009, 10:27 PM according to pft, cerrato gave danny elfin of the times a denial... sortof SBXVII 03-17-2009, 10:29 PM I guess that's what JC meant by shocking changes would be coming out of Redskins park. lol. Funny. Think about it. The Browns have a top notch QB right now and they would trade him away for JC who isn't bad but the whole deal must be for them to get Cooley. Then you have the Skins getting a not so bad QB in Cutler and a no name TE. Two teams get two people and what does Denver get. One player. I guess Denver would have to be pretty despirate to get Quinn to make a trade like that. Our whole trade would be based around getting a QB who has the same stats as the one we already have so it must be the no name TE we want and need. The Browns would almost make out like bandits but they have other holes to fill also. 47FAN 03-17-2009, 10:32 PM to trade cooley would be crazy. please say its not true WaldSkins 03-17-2009, 10:34 PM to trade cooley would be crazy. please say its not true It's not true WaldSkins 03-17-2009, 10:38 PM I think Campbell get's this year to prove himself. If he does decent we sign him long term. If not I think that Zorn will push Brennan hard in the offseason to see if he has what it takes to take the reigns. 47FAN 03-17-2009, 10:38 PM i hope not. wouldnt mind cutler but to get rid of cooley |
