Nflnick11 03-01-2009, 10:27 AM 2 scenarios NO TRADE 1st Andre Smith OT 3rd Tyronne McKenzie OLB 5th Matt Shaughnessy DE Or L.Sidbury 6th Frantz Joseph ILB Trade Down w/ Detriot Add 2nd rd Pick 1st Larry English OLB 2nd Jamon Meredith OT 3rd Asher Allen CB 5th Matt Shaughnessy DE or L.Sidbury 6th Frantz Joseph ILB I love both your senarios, especially because I like about 75% of the players you named fitting in on our team... But ILB I feel isn't a need since we got blades and fletcher , and what do you think we should get Asher Allen or joe burnett of UCF who is a GREAT returner but just decent cover skills...although his coach George O'leary said that he's the best corner he's coached since Asante samuel...plus mayacok is high on him as a sleeper, and his former college teammate brandon Marshall has been telling the bongos to get this guy Nflnick11 03-01-2009, 10:33 AM Mack is smart!! Haha that means nothing man it's if he's really football smart and not school smart...no center coming out of college can just read NFL defenses right away... Next year, now that's another story... 53Fan 03-01-2009, 11:48 AM Haha that means nothing man it's if he's really football smart and not school smart...no center coming out of college can just read NFL defenses right away... Next year, now that's another story... Why do you keep saying this? Nick Mangold started as a rookie for the Jets in 2006 and had an outstanding year. So have others. Next year, now that's another story... I can guarantee that Mack would start right away for anyone and Smith, Oher or however/whatever T would struggle at first. One thing Gibbs always liked in a player was smarts. Mack has it all. mcludka 03-01-2009, 01:15 PM I keep hearing about Mack on here but everywhere I look, he isn't te number 1 rated Center. What gives? 53Fan 03-01-2009, 01:33 PM I keep hearing about Mack on here but everywhere I look, he isn't te number 1 rated Center. What gives? Alex Mack, Center California : NFL Draft Prospect (http://www.draftseason.com/index2.php?Page_Name=PlayerProfile2&id=984) SmootSmack 03-01-2009, 01:44 PM If we stay at 13, I think we take an OT (and maybe slide Jansen inside if it's Oher?), and then in the 3rd round take a LB like Marcus Freeman who should be available around then. But depending on how things shake out (particularly with Stafford) we could be in a situation where the Lions want to move up to our spot at #13 and we can slide down to #20 and get one of the USC linebackers and then in the early 2nd take Eben Britton (or maybe Tyson Jackson, and get a like Fulton in the 3rd) Either way, we (meaning the Redskins) have to decide which of the following three positions LB, OL, DE is least important because it's likely one of them won't be truly addressed in the draft. I do know that Cerrato and Campbell (Scott Campbell) love the USC threesome 53Fan 03-01-2009, 02:00 PM If we fill OLB and RT, I really don't know how much more we could ask. A punter would be nice and I think we'll get that done but I'd consider it a VERY successful offseason if we fill those spots. Especially considering our FA acquisitions and only having 4 draft picks to start out with. Nflnick11 03-01-2009, 02:12 PM Mack is smart!!
