We are so primed to trade back and draft Mack.
Is Mack a legit 1st round pick or someone to take in the 2nd round (if we can work that kind of deal)?

I don't think it would be surprising at all to see Mack go from #20 on. I would'nt be surprised if Pittsburgh took him at 32 if he's still there.

I just haven't seen him in rd 1 of any mock drafts. Really hard to predict now though as guys will certainly rise and fall...

whatever we do I say keep building the lines with younger players, then worry about the other positions... I say take the best Olineman or D-lineman available when we pick...of course preferrably o-lineman

Yep, o-line preferably. Alex Mack is the guy I'm gunnin' for. He can certainly replace Rabach and secure that important aspect of our game, center.

Add me to the bandwagon, I like us to trade down and get Mack and the best available LB, like a Clay Matthews.

if they dont trade down to pick up more draft picks then at #13 you take the best offensive lineman on the board.

I want Aaron Curry. Two months ago it looked like he'd be bottom half of the 1st round but now it's looking top 3. I think he is the only "can't miss" in the draft and plays a position of need.
Trade up with Detroit and take him. This year's 1st and 3rd round picks and next year's 2nd round. Detroit needs help at so many spots it would make sense for them and we'd get, IMO, a decades worth of Pro Bowls from the OLB position. Plus, after making the biggest splash in FA we'd also have the biggest splash in the draft.

Hes a great player, but keep in mind that the higher the pick, the more money they're due to make, plus we can get another decent SLB later in the first/ second round (but you could say the same for RTs as well, IMO) i would go RT in the first, because next year there will be a few good LBs to choose from wereas with OT's I can only think of one off the top of my head... Brandon spikes of Florida I think will be a beter pro than curry, so I think we could stay/trade down from where we are ... Plus we have HB blades and Jason Taylor who can replace marcus for this year if nothing works out come draft time
