Oh yeah...when we got Jason Taylor everyone thought...Oh man is that going to free up Carter and he is going to have a big year. We all know how that turned out.

Not trying to be a downer but offseason excitement is running at an all time high and is not being back by substance. The present economy could tell you that is not a good direction to go.

I don't think everyone is overly optimistic about the Hayneworth sign. Plus, it was kind of hard for Jason Taylor to free up Carter, when Taylor was on the bench hurt.

I think Carter will benefit more from Haynesworth's presense than Taylor. Hopefully, Carter will have 10+ sacks like he did in 2007 when Griff was healthy the whole year and our defense was more aggressive.

And Gregg Williams was calling the defensive plays

I also want AH to help in the running game. Ugh, I still remember when the f'ing Cowpukes ran 11 running plays in a row late in the second game at FedEx.

The comment about the employees was a low, irrelevant, and uneccesary blow by JLC

Also, I didn't realize that the Jason Taylor "experiment" was over or that the talent around Haynesworth ($100 million!) was better in Tennesee than he'll have here in DC. I'm sure Landry, Horton, Rogers, Hall, Griffin, Carter, Taylor, and Fletcher are thrilled to hear that.

I think he's just upset that he totally missed the boat on this news

The comments about people being laid off was stupid. But I think it's safe to say Tenn has better personel on defense than we did. Don't you?

That would be nice. The reason the Cowgirls where able to do that is due to the fact that they had the luxury of a fresh Marion Barber. I think that is stilll a big part of our game we need to address. A good 2 back system.

As far as JLC, I don't care what he has to say.

Can we ban/lock any posts that have the letters JLC in it? Seriously, the dude spits haterade all over Redskins Land. Had the Danny not signed Haynesworth and opted for 4-5 lesser players/contracts JLC would have crucified him for that as well. I can read it now "Snyder failed to address the D-line by missing out on the best available player" Damned if you do, damned if you don't. It wouldn't matter who they picked up, JLC would have something negative to say.

He needs to jump back on the Campbell Soup can label or move to Dallas!

We wear Burgundy and Gold here in the District!!

HAIL!!

Well you have to remember the guy does do a good job of bringing information to legions of fans and to an extent he should be granted some Leigha.

I'm still a little skeptical myself, but that should wear off if we at least bring in Dock though as I've said before I really want to see two lineman brought into the fold then either draft Rey Maluga or Knoshon Moreno.

I agree with both of what you're saying. If JLC can name all 20 those people then he really cares about them more than you or I do. I doubt he can do that but you can bet he knows the 53 man Redskins roster.

I do think that he has a arguable point to how much impact Haynesworth is expected to have and what he will actually perform. Tennessee does have a better attacking defense than us and Haynesworth was benefitting from that as well. He won't have the same luxury here if everyone expects him to be double and tripled teamed while everyone else has a hayday rushing the QB.

You can say with certainty that Cortland Finnegan and Nick Harper is a better CB duo than Hall and Rogers? LDE Javon Kearse had 3.5 sacks last year with the Titans and RDE Kyle Vanden Bosch had 4.5 (granted he only played 10 games). LDE Jason Taylor had 3.5 sacks (didn't play a full season) and RDE Andre Carter had 4 sacks. They had Haynesworth in the middle, Carter and Taylor had Golston.

Skins had the league's 4th ranked defense last year. Tennessee was 7th.

So do we have better personnel? Or just a better overall unit?
