It is pretty fun and sad to go back and read this thread.
When I was younger I use to keep all the NFL prediction magazines from August then read them again in February, always got a good laugh.

It looks like almost all of the WP is going to be eating a lot of crow in this thread. Can anyone go back and find a post in here where they said AH was a bad investment? Its time for you to be applauded for sound judgement.
quite a few of them, Smootsmack was "uncertain" but the best was Ade Jimoh Fan Club, post #72 of this thread. He laid out reasons by # & most all of them became our reality.

Why should we ever doubt AJFC
As for me, I thought he'd be better than he was, much better. The Titans kind of being my 2nd favorite team (but it's a very very very distant 2nd, plus I'm a NYer now so Jets Jets Jets!...but I digress), I've followed them pretty closely since they moved to Tennessee so I knew all about AH's propensity to slack off. But this has been ridiculous

We will totally regret this signing - WAY more downside than updside. Here's my reasons:
1) Too much $$. That is Peyton Manning money and you can't tell me that Fat Albert (who will probably participate in only about 60% of the snaps) is worth that.
2) His old team and Detroit (new HC is old DC at Titans) did not go after him aggressively at all. They obviously know he's NOT worth the money.
3) He's hurt. A lot.
4) He's got no motivation to perform - and has shown to be a player that needs motivation to perform.
5) The Titans' system was designed to collapse the pocket from the outside via speed rushing DE's and force the QB to step up into Fat Albert's path. I think we'll find out that this HUGELY inflated his numbers.
6) Not a high-character guy. (Neither is DeAngelo Hall who we just blew another rediculous wad of money on). This is the anti-Gibbs philosophy. How many perennial SB contenders do you see with character issue guys? Patriots? Steelers? Bad for team chemistry.
7) I guarantee you that in 2-3 years we're going to have a situation where we'll have to re-wicker his contract and it's going to be a media mess with trash-talking, holdouts, etc...
8) At this price, short of a repeat of what he did last year - it will be a complete DISASTER.
9) Cut & Paste all of these comments for MeAngelo Hall as well.
Spot on expect for #9. Credit to Freddy for original pointing it out.

Your wisdom of 4th string corners is so elite, why didn't we listen to you in this time of need? I mean that post is right on every single point through and through, def. in a time when I think many people were getting excited about what this was going to do for our d-line, me included!

Giants have nothing to worry about, as far as Skins are concerned. Pressure McNabb all day and the game is yours. Very simple.
I disagree , like the Cowboys and WP ...once the problem has been addressed even a small spark can make a difference.I was at the Giant game and the D played well in the 2nd half.....had your O not turned the ball over as much as it did ...the game would have been different.

I agree w/this, the D looked pathetically flat in the opening drives & the poor tackling made it look like guys thought they were in the school yard & didn't have pads on.
The O. had all the turnovers & a few drops. The g-men are a far better team, but not that 24 pts. better. Before the end zone pick the game was on track to be somewhat competitive.

Can't root for the Giants, and the Bills are too far away in upstate NY
Back in my days of living on the island, we used to get the local Tennessee and NY affiliates so I'd watch a lot of Titans shows and Jets shows (think Phil Simms was the host, if I remember right) so Jets have the NY edge
