Funny thing to consider. Demarcus Ware wants a new contract in Dallas in fact he's their number one offseason priority. Adam Shefter pointed out that Ware now thinks he deserves Haynesworth money. Ironically this Haynesworth signing might turn out to be the ultimate kamikazee attack on our division rival. Though I'm pretty sure the Cowboys are looking forward to an uncapped year themselves.

Haynesworth has clearly been a stud for the past two seasons. However, I think players who have something to prove, or hungry players, are what this team really needs. Does anyone think that Haynesworth is going to be full now that we just fed him $100,000,000? Now that he's had his big pay day, is he still going to play with the fire he used to have? I sure hope so.

That is the 41 million dollar question right there. And only time can tell. Now the long wait till next season begins. I can tell you with 100% certainty that this will be a LOOOONG wait!!!
Going by his presser I'm not worried about him slacking off.

I guess I'm wondering what player says at his presser that since he's been paid he's gonna start slacking off. These players know what to say and how much the fans cant wait to lap it up. I hope AH works out better that Stubby. I think it can happen but time will tell.

I agree that his presser was a real quality appearance.
He listed out goals above just getting paid; like being seen as a HOF caliber DT, making his opponents know every gameday that he is the best they face.
I also know I can't wait to see him suit up and slam Romo to the ground.

Let's be real for a minute. There's downside to every deal. Every single one. There's always the potential issue of injuries, lack of production, and character flaws, and system knowledge at the professional level. So in my opinion, money is irrelevant to the extent that someone was going to sign him and benefit from his services anyway. So why not the Redskins. There's just a point, when it comes to a superstar athelete in his prime, some team will always be perceived as overpaying for this guy or that guy. What about the 49ers making a cornerback the highest paid player in NFL history last year? Since the Washington Redskins have a reputation for overspending, it just makes for juicier conversation.
The point is, as far as numbers are concerned, can we stay under the cap. And we always seem to find a way to do so. So I could care less how much they paid for Haynesworth. Seriously. The whole argument about cap numbers and too much in salary is worthless in my opinion. You either win or lose in this league. Fans don't give a shit how much you were under the cap come Super Bowl sunday every year. They just don't. Now there can be an argument made that if we don't spend too much on this guy, we can afford that guy. But I digress.
I just want the Skins to win. Period. Sometimes the big names work out and sometimes they don't. Bottom line, for the first time in a long time, we have a bona-fide bad ass in burgundy and gold. Sure, if he blows out his knee in camp, yeah, it looks like a bad effin move. But if we can keep Brandon Jacobs from running down our throats on third and short with the division title on the line, you betcha, Haynesworth was worth every burgundy cent of his contract.
I agree with your ppost until you last sentense. There is no way of knowing he was worth every penny until he is producing on the field then we can make that judgement. I just hope he is the first defensive lineman to wear a red jersey in practice like JC.

I too was impressed with Haynesworth's presser. Boy, is the NFC East going to be nasty once again this year.
