This could be like Fred Smoot all over again (leave for big money, get humbled, and come home)

But hopefully he can play better than Smoot.

... u don't mean Dock will be half the player he was the first time around right?

If you mean Crowder, the LB from Miami, he re-signed with the Dolphins yesterday.

I actually meant Angelo Crowell from Buffalo.

Gotcha.

SmootSmack, what are your thoughts about Dockery, think the team would go for him?

They are definetly going to make a play for Dockery, but if this thing with Haynesworth has any teeth to it, forget about Dockery, Haynesworth, and Hall. IMPOSSIBLE!

The thing is if you can give them all long deals and focus their newly signed contracts to be minimized year one then you can sign all of these guys.

If they are gambling on the cap not being there next year it won't matter how they loophole the first year cost and stipulate their payments in the second year.

It really looks like they are just trying to acquire all the talent this year regardless of cost in preparation of there being no cap next year. It's smart but it is an aggressive gamble.

I would think the Skins would at least show interest in Dock, they should.

Interest would be GREAT!
I just don't want it to be attached to a ride in "Redskin 1" and an $88m check

If I was a player/agent, I wouldn't be eager to sign a contract that has terms based on an assumption of no salary cap.

Sign Dock and Hall, be realistic and forget about Haynesworth. He'll probably be a Buc, and be a good player for a while, but why give a player who is going to be out of his prime in 2-3 years a long term contract tying up that much money? It's stupid, but so is Vinny.
