doc was a pulling monster when he was here, moe-ing mofos down on tosses and counters..... dont know what games u were watching SkinsFan
I think your mixing up Dockery with Thomas. Thomas was the pulling monster in his prime. Dockery was just the space eater. The wall that people just couldn't get around. Either way I really just want to see the team bring in him and Willis. That way we can take a guy like Meluga with our first pick no problem and in the process get our heir apparent to Fletcher.
I don't know much about this guy Brown from Balt. other than he can play center and guard but again, can he play? Why isn't Balt. resigning him?
2008 Scouting Report - Scouts Inc.
Grade: 78 | Key (http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/scouts/news/story?id=2996209)
Alert: None
Comment: Brown is a big, strong and wide-bodied interior offensive lineman who has a very thick lower body that makes him difficult to move backwards. Brown played both guard and center in college. While he has only played guard in the NFL, he is capable of handling the pivot and should do an excellent job against massive nose tackle types from the center position. He is a very powerful man who can push a pile or anchor against bigger pass rushers. He is a mauler who puts smaller men on their back and he shows a willingness to finish his blocks. Brown has heavy hands and can stun opposing linemen with his punch and long arms. He is a smart player who acclimated to the NFL quickly and has good recognition of stunts and blitzes. While he continues to improve in this area, Brown is still much better coming forward than retreating in pass protection. He isn't a very good space player and once beaten, can struggle to recover against quicker, more athletic interior pass rushers. He is a two-year starter who should continue to improve. He works hard and is well respected. The Ravens need to be careful with his tender because if they tender him too low, many teams around the league could pounce on Brown. He is a legitimate starter on a power-running team and his stock should continue to rise.

LavarLeap56 at extremeskins.com has some connections at redskins park and this is what he had to say about the current status of the dockery situation:
hes not hurting but every opurtunity for a new contract could be your last. doc has to try and maximize the oppurtunity. skins want him at a value price and need some cap stuff to get cleared. Docs been told to sit tight and they will come and get him essentially. the balls in the skins court though so lets just be patient.
As far as Brown goes, i dont see us bringing him in to play Center or having enough money to pay him to play guard. He would certainly command much more at guard than Dock would. While he would be an upgrade at center, i dont think we can afford that upgrade now. Behind LT, center is the strongest postion on our O-line right now.

Baltimore was trying to keep Scott and Lewis, plus paying Suggs his tag salary. Plus, after Jordan Gross signed with the Panther, he became one of the top FA offensive linemen.

Docs in Detroit today-
Dockery In Detroit (So Tempted To Call This Dr. Detroit) - Redskins Insider (http://voices.washingtonpost.com/redskinsinsider/2009/02/dockery_in_detroit_so_tempted.html#comments)
Any quality free agent who would even consider detroit doesnt care about winning. this makes me question docks desire. I certainly would not overpay for him 1 cent.
Well, Dockery did leave a Hall of Fame coach to go to the Bills for money.
Of course he will consider Detroit or anywhere to get a paycheck.
We know if he would consider Detroit...the Skins would only need to match the offer...Buges trained this guy up...as you recall, Dockery was not that great in his first couple years here...a reunion with Buges would maximize his potential...a move elswhere and he'd likely be no more than average.
But at least he's average and young...With the Skins...he could be good.

It was Thomas who was always pulling, not Doc. And when Dock did pull he was so damn slow that Portis would just run around him. At least that's what I remember.
