Is anyone concernd with Randy Thomas? Who just had neck surgery, working on part of his spine, which calls for him to rest it completely.

Yeah. I'm concerned about Randy. We need him to be the player he use to be. I liked Zorn's comment that, "if you do what you've always done, you'll be who you've always been". Sounds a little like Gibbs. I was glad to hear Samuels is always there getting ready for the season.

On whether he saw any surprises upon reviewing the 2008 season:

“There were a couple of things to look at. Number one, where we got stopped in our offensive thrust to try and get the ball in the end zone was really from the plus-50 to the plus-20. That is where we ended a lot of drives. We have been taking a detailed look at that. There are some answers there and that is what we are trying to address as we come into our mini-camps, training camps--as we start experimenting with some new ideas. Our overall schemes are going to stay the same, but it is how we get the ball into the red zone and then be able to score from the red zone--those are concerns of mine because we didn’t score enough points this football season.”
I was real glad to see he said this. This was a huge area of concern that I think got passed off week to week, but hopefully he will see how defenses change once you get in their territory, not just the red zone.

I miss when Randy used to be a force on pulling plays. I mean sure if Kendall can be effective at 36 then maybe Randy can be effective as 34 but at the same time RG is a lot harder to play then LG, due to the fact that the LG gets more help from the center especially against 4-3 fronts.

On a Sirius interview today he also mentioned Rhinehart. Said that they were preparing him to take the field but a veteran battled through injuries and he expects him to really step up this year. I found it encouraging.
