Cerrato: Tell you what these kids look pretty bad. Almost like there's no one there to protect them. I got it, first officer get on the radio right now and tell them we need some receivers sent down here ASAP.

 Oh yeah good stuff. Seriously I didn't know what to think of that vid...

Just don't send the o-line. They can't protect anything.

Speaking of that I had a little heart palpitation today reading on the official website where Bugel refers to Rabach:

Of veteran center Casey Rabach: “He is one of the top players I have ever coached at his position. His preparation is impeccable. He knows the offense inside and out. He knows the defenses we’re playing inside and out.

"He’s a strong cog on our football team. He’s really a very quiet, unassuming leader.”

One of the top centers Buges coached? Doesn't sound like Rabach is going anyway so I just hope he improves over last year. I mean i have all the respect for Joe but after the penalties, mistakes and utter inability to block nose-tackles it's a little worrisome Rabach is still a "favorite."

Rabach just isn't a guy I expect to reemerge as an interior monster. I sincerely hope Randy gets his groove back cause prior to his last set of major injuries and the disappointing '08 campaign he's been one badass lineman. Certainly not massive like Dock was but Randy typically played with a mean streak that punished the defense. Also anxious to see if Jansen can be a force on the interior. I think he can be but I'm not sure where his head is at... certainly will be a challenge to his confidence if he's replaced at RT by a young buck out of college.

On top of that Randy's ability to pull used to be one of this teams best asset especially with the counters and toss sweeps that Gibbs use to run when Thomas was healthier.

I think Rabach gets a bad rap with a lot of fans. He's a solid player and I think he's pretty good at making the line calls and helping out JC in that regard. From all accounts he's a student of the game and is a true pro. I know some people want to turn over half the roster but that's simply not going to happen. For better or worse Rabach will remain our starting center, probably til his contract runs out after 2010.

We have so many bigger problems then Rabach starting at Center next year. I think he's a pretty good player and will do just fine with a better overall line around him.
