If I was a Bengals fan i'd be kind of p*****. He's publicly talking about wanting to play for another team. It's ok to privately have your own opinions but show a little bit of respect for the tons of fans you have in Cinci.

If he is a free agent with no more NFL games to play then he is playing for Team Houshmandzadeh.

Would you have liked for one of our good FA's in the past...hmmm let's say Gary Clark to come out and say he'd like to play for the 49ers.

I'm not saying he doesn't have the right to do it. He does. I'm saying if I'm a fan and have bought a Housh jersey for me and my kid's, I'd rather him not say come out and say he'd rather play for another team.

How about, "I'm a FA, I love it here in _____ or my first choice is here in _____, but if it doesn't work out I'm going to look at all the options." End of story.

can't compare the redskins of that time to the bengals of now. the bengals are a horrible organization and if i were a fan it wouldn't bother me at all.

Just watching NFL Live - Michael Smith is reporting that Housh will most likely end up on the west coast, where he's from. His family is there and he went to Oregon St. Smith said it will be either Seattle or San Fran.

The game has changed to a business first, emotions second model. I can't fault the guy for trying to pander for his best interest. I don't think it's any different than a newly signed free agent pandering to the fans of the new area he's in.

When was the last time any of us heard of the Eagles getting a free agent in their thirties?

I doubt that. You can't tell me that if one of your favorite skins players approached FA and let it be known he'd rather play for another team, that it wouldn't bother you. Really? One of our best young players?

i say , let it happen. he is definitely a locker room cancer, 30 years old. and his body is starting to break down. go ahead Joe Banner, and spend alot of money doing it

Okay, but the Eagles have been getting decent WR production for each of the last 5 years. This move wouldn't make a lot of sense for them, although they certainly could afford him under the cap easily.

I just don't see them as a better team. If Jackson develops, Housh plays the No. 2 role, and forces Curtis to the No 3, which essentially eliminates young up-and-comers like Baskett and Avant entirely.

Doesn't seem like an Eagles type move, but desperation can do funny things to you.

LaVar paid to leave

He's a free agent and you've gotta be somewhere other than the Bengals.. as a free agent there's nothing wrong with saying you're interested in the offers that you'll receive.. if a team can trade a guy and put him on that block then a free agent can mention his willingness to change teams

anyways, he just wants a new team and will play for the right money

Now before you go e-mailing your friends and telling them that the Eagles are going to sign Houshmandzadeh, keep in mind that he's making the rounds. He also spoke to a Chicago radio station yesterday (http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/chi-090204-tj-houshmandzadeh-chicago-bears,0,6460842.story), and actually praised Rex Grossman.

"You know what's funny, man? Y'all probably going to laugh at me when I tell you this; I kind of like Rex Grossman," he said.
