Great point...he was a hell of a player but he freelanced so much he hurt the defense as much as he helped.....Great comparison

I think Rey would be much better then LaVar, he has a warriors instinct and looks like a RUSSIAN ROCKET!

No doubt. Not to say that i want us to take Rey but he is not even in the same league as Lavar. He was never a system player and was always caught outta position because of his tendency to freelance to much.

The combines tend to shake up the draft a ton. I can remember a few players that fell significantly from combine work and combine performance. I would think of all OTs that may be there at #13 worth taking, it would be Jason Smith or Michael Oher. If, surprisingly, either of these two go before #13, and Andre Smith is off the board as well, trade down. I am not as south on Oher as some here. But Mocks that have Oher going #1 through #3, I don't buy that.

No, let me just make this clear for a second here, I haven't heard anything to legitimately suggest they have any idea what they want to do at the QB position, with or without JC.

I have no inside knowledge on Campbell being let go or benched or anything like that. These are just my own suspicions.

Haven't heard a word about that either. In fact, from every indication out of Zorn and other sources, Zorn is pretty committed to JC. Taking a QB when you only have 4 picks and tons of needs simply doesn't make sense. So, yes, I can see Vinny doing it. :silly:

I know Zorn has said this is a bad year to draft a QB, so I'd be surprised if we did.

Thanks to the poster who providedr the info on M Oher (red flags), I thought we would be lucky to land him, now it looks risky especially considering reports about 'poor' work ethics. Well, I hope Vinny and the scout team figures it out if we can 'fix' Ohers flaws if we decide to gamble on him @ 13.

I am of the mindset to fix the lines first then OLB so I am not in favour of taking OLB @ 13. I would rather try to trade down into the 20-39 pick and get extra pick in 2nd or 3rd round. We could try for William Beatty or Eben Britton (OT) or Duke Robinson (OG) or Max Unger (C).

If we do decide to pick OLB @ 13, it would be a tight tassle between Rey Maualuga and Brian Cushing. I like Maualuga's intensity (Polamalu type tackler) but Cushing is more suited @ OLB. I would go for Rey but only just.

I saw a post where it was suggested that we could land a scat back RB in the 4th-5th round. Devin Moore is a agile runner who can be a PR/KR in the draft? Sproles would garner big money and with the cap situation we are in, its a good option though we did sign Dorsey this week so hopefully we find our answer in those guys.
