Wow, great logical move for the Giants if it happens.

We need to trade Randel El and next years number 2 draft pick and try to land Boldin here. That would take a lot of pressure off of Moss and Cooley and give us a legitimate receiving threat.

Yes, the Cardinals would be crazy to pass up that offer!

Boldin still has 2 years left on his contract. Cards don't have to get rid of him at all. If they do trade him, the price will be high.

Price for a Boldin trade will indeed be high - - and then you will have to give him a new contract to keep him happy...

One rumor out there - - it's a RUMOR so it may be 200% wrong - - is that the Eagles will offer Arizona one of the Eagles' first round picks this year AND their second round pick this year for Boldin.

I'm a big fan of Boldin. I wish the Skins could land him.

i think the skins should try to trade antwan randle-el and ladell betts to az for boldin. the trade would help both teams randle-el and wizenhunt work well together and betts could definitly help their run game b/c james probably won't be back next year. and the skins could defintly use another real starting wr and this trade we won't loose any draft picks but i don't know about the salary and salary cap effects.

Let's just put the salary issue aside for a minute. Let's suppose you're Rod Graves, GM of the Cardinals, and I were to propose to you Randle El and Ladell Betts for Boldin.

Would you really accept that?

Yes, if you threw in your first round picks for the next two years.

Not if Fitz can help it

NFL.com Blogs » Blog Archive Fitzgerald willing to restructure to keep Boldin « (http://blogs.nfl.com/2009/01/27/fitzgerald-willing-to-restructure-to-keep-boldin/)

I think Boldin is great, but I heard a pretty interesting interview the other day basically pointing out that over the years when Fitz has not been in the picture and the opposing defense puts their best corner on Boldin he's no great shakes.

This fact intrigued me, which made me to look up the facts (Boldin and Fitzgerald are ones of my favorite players).. And I think this fact is incorrect.. In Boldin's first year (2003), he had 101 catches for 1,377 along with 8 TDs.. However in his second year, his production fell down - only 56 catches for 623 yards.. The second year (2004) is when Larry Fitzgerald came in, he did not do so well either - 58 catches for 780 yards.. I think it's because of the QBs situation, I also checked the 2004 rooster list.. Turns out that Luke McCown, Shaun King, and John Navarre were the QBs - I am going to assume that McCown was the one throwing balls to the receivers.. Jeff Blake (I have no idea who he is) was the one who threw balls in 2003 - I believe he retired after that season..

The 2005 season was when Kurt Warner came in.. Boldin had 102 catches for 1,402 yards and Fitzgerald had 103 catches for 1409 yards.. Those facts are enough for me to say that the fact of Boldin wouldn't be great when Fitzgerald isn't on the field is moot..

I just don't want him in the NFC East unless he is playing for the Skins.
