Thrash is a must go. He is a holdover from the Norv days, once a great ST guy, but not a very good WR anymore. In hindsight, we should have never reacquired him from the Eagles. Jason Taylor is a waste of roster space. He had one stellar game at the end and a bunch of folks got visions of JT dancing in their heads. The guy is on the downward slope of his career. WE need a young guy that will be around for at least 4 years. Springs should be cut for sure. Guy can't put together 3 games without being hurt.

Agreed on all points Gus. Taylor just costs us so much and we should be able to get a value DE in FA. WRT Springs, I basically see Hall as his replacement on our roster... it bugs me the FO is sort of looking at Hall to replace Los. Lord knows i've been mad as hell at Los plenty of days for hoofing the pigskin when he should have caught it, but he is young talent on an otherwise aging team. He also learned how to catch in the last game of the season, right? LOL.

I thought you said Z was against letting him return punts? If I do recall he had the only punt return for a touchdown for the whole season. You can't double team a man when he's a punt returner. Might as well let him return them. It's better than him cleaning off his shoes or punching guys with helmets on. he he he

That was pretty stupid but at least he showed some fire. :boxing:

Dude don't be an idiot. Zorn was questioned about this for an entire press conference after the game and said he would only throw Moss back to return maybe once a game just for a change up from Randle El. He said there was no way Moss was going to be a regular return man.

I don't remember El returning a punt for a touchdown?

Initial Personnel Ratings Completed - Redskins Insider (http://voices.washingtonpost.com/redskinsinsider/2009/01/skins_first_set_of_personnel_m.html#comments)

Having read this article I'm satisfied knowing that Cerratto is a pathetic idiot, who's going to do exactly what he wants again this year and for absolutley no explanation at all is the only GM running around in the league with absolutley zero accountability to the retardness of his actions. They have done this for 10 years and it hasn't worked. Lets hang onto our 10 ancient veterans who we over payed and claim that they play at a high level although there is no production to speak of. Only make priorities that we will actually act upon high level free agents. And make ridiculous choices regarding the draft be it trading our picks for old players or now unbeleivably trading our good young players for lower rounded picks then they were drafted.

It's so amazing now that the only real decision they're going to make is bringing in a big name RT. I cant ****ing belive this.

The only untouchables on our team in no order are:

Cooley
Samuels
Fletch
Landry
Horton
Campbell-he's cheap

Everybody else I'm not sure about. Yes, Moss & CP, the oline can all be bargaining pieces or cut material (aside from the financial obligations).

I'd like to see this core group have a great year next year, it's just I'm not optimistic about it.

Horton and Campbell are not untouchable. Both are expendable with low cap numbers and have trade value. Whether trading them is in the best interests of the team is another matter, and depends on whether they are more valuable to the team than they are in terms of trade value. Both will probably be kept, but they are by no means "untouchable."

The true "untouchables" on this team are the players who large amounts of money garaunteed to them - Portis, Jansen, Thomas, Samuels, Cooley, and Carter come to mind off the top of my head. And make no mistake, Jansen, Thomas, and Carter, and possibly Portis would all be cut if the team could do so without the team taking a significant cap hit. If Cooley had not just signed such a huge contract and trading him didnt involve the team taking a cap hit well north of 10M, we'd already be in discussion to trade him for a 1st rounder. This is a business and there is no such thing as loyalty between players and fans. When it comes to someone being "untouchable," Financials are the one and only thing that matters. You cant ignore them.
