Panthers will most likely keep Gross and let Peppers walk

alright I got our offseason plans right here:
A) Cut Jansen, Daniels, Thrash, Washington, Springs (unless he takes a paycut, which I doubt)
B) ask jason taylor to take a pay cut or be cut, don't resign kendall unless we need him, like an injury during the season, ask griffin to take a pay cut or be cut, don't resign gholston, and ask smoot to take a pay cut.
C) RESIGN DeAnglo hall, especially if Springs is cut, retires, etc.
D) Go after which ever player the panthers don't franchise
E) SIGN Max Starks T from the steelers (usually plays right tackle, and very well, but was a left tackle this year since marvel smith was injured, but he faired well on the left side)
F) do NOT give campbell a contract extension until next offseason
G) Asuming we'll get a lot of compensatory picks like last year hopefully we'll get another 3rd, 6th, and 7th(s) (HOPEFULLY, this is not definite) TRADE our 13th overall pick and our regular 3rd round pick to detroit for their 20th and 33rd (2nd round) overall picks. and our draft should look like this

1) Peria Jerry Ole Miss DT
2) Duke Robinson Oklahoma G
3 (Compensatory)) Brandon Williams DE Texas Tech (led big 12 in sacks with 13)
5) Gerald McRath Southern Miss OLB
6) Jarrett Dillard Rice WR (some say we need another wideout some don't, I say take him because he had school, conference, and college records his whole career and plays a lot bigger than he is, and has GREAT hands, a sleeper of sorts, and if he's not at this spot then get Ramses Barden of Cal Poly who is 6'6 and grabs/jumps for everything, can also make spectacular catches, and doesn't get injured a lot like Malcolm Kelly)
6 (Compensatory)) Joe Burnett UCF CB/RS (whether he ends up a good corner or not, he is a hell of a returner, an All American, and youtube sensation)
7(Compensatory)) Greg Isander WVU G
7(Compensatory)) Pat MacAffee WVU K

We need to keep our first rounders anymore. More picks is nice, but you really see a drop off in starting potential after the 2nd- 3rd round. How many low end picks really pan out? Not a very good percentage!!! Sure it happens, but the odds are not in your favor, not they way we have been drafting as of late.

If anyone is wondering, Haynesworth reportedly wants around a $16-18 million signing bonus, and upwards of $35 million guaranteed (of which the signing bonus would be included)

How much is that in Wendy's, whatever they sell things?

Yeah that's how i see it: we need 1st round talent at either OT or OLB.

... I'm thinking we're going to need 3 definite starters (through draft or FA) at the following positions:

1) Right Tackle - shouldn't require any explanation here

2) OLB - rumor is Marcus is gone. We need a playmaker, someone who can stuff the run, be effective in coverage and blitz.

3) Left end - Neither Taylor nor AC is a good fit at left end. Daniels is just too risky w/ age and injuries so he's a guy i can't imagine we keep and Evans isn't dominant.

G/C may also be a must have depending on the status of Kendell and whether Jansen can successfully transition to the interior. So we've got a first round pick (who must be a starter at one of the said positions) and then 2 or maybe 3 other positions we have to fill. Bottom line: we have to be active in FA. My question to all those more knowledgeable about who's going to be available in FA is who will be the best value at our positions of need?

We need to get rid of a lot of these "good guys". By that I mean when we hear cerrato or larry michaels or zorn (and it used to be Gibbs) say "we'll ____'s real great guy" and this is when they're talking about Jansen or daniels or any of the other vets that we need to get rid of, the front office needs to understand that it's a business and not a " let's be BFFs forever" kinda thing. There better be at least 5 vets gone, if our front office actually cares about building a football team.

Ya but we still get a first round pick, we don't trade that away...but what do you think of the players I have us getting?

My top 5 priorities

1. Cut Washington, Griffin, Jansen, Dainels, and Springs
2. Re sign Hall and Evans, let Kendall walk
3. Go after after a DT in FA, Suggs at OLB, and Jahari Evans at OG (RFA), and a CB like Ron Bartell from the Rams
4. Make J. Taylor take a pay cut if not show him the door
5. At 13 we should lok at both lines first, this all depends on what we do in FA. For example we're not going to draft an OT if we have Gross, we might trade down in the mid 20's and take Duke Robinson and get a few picks. On Defense we should be looking at 2 areas, OLB, DT. DE is not a pressing need (look at point 2) and DT and OLB depend on what we do in FA. In the third round I'd try to get a C to replace Rabach and in the later rounds look for quality depth on both lines.
