If every QB had the offense Romo had/has, my pretenses wouldn't seem so far reaching. With that said Dallas has never had a problem finding quality QB's My point is if you release TO why not Romo? Who plays his position better? TO came to Romo's rescue not the other way around. Are you kidding me? It's not who plays his position better. One position is MUCH more important than the other. Look what happened when Romo was out of the line-up. The Cowboys offense wasn't even functionable. Cowboys will be fine w/out TO. They still have good wr's in Williams, Crayton, Austin and Witten at TE. Hog1 01-15-2009, 12:34 PM Speculative, but maybe TO wants out? I don't know Hog, I just like his talent and would feel robbed as a fan of football if he was gone. Maybe I'm off here. Not to get off subject but, it seems like we are willing to take a chance on Hall who has similar tendacies. At least TO is a proven great football player. I like Hall too We could DEFINATELY use his talent! IMO, we cannot afford the baggage that goes with it. It's some team's "greed" to win at any cost that makes them think they can handle T.O.'s challenges. If we could just....deal with him, he ...might put us over the top....WRONG. It's not like this is his first problem. Check the Eagles, and Niners as well. I am confident they are happy he is gone. AND on a sidebar, I heard that idiot Colin Cowherd lump T.O. and Portis in the same pot. I nearly lost my lunch! AND, AND 44ever, I respect your opinion on the issue, but I cannot endorse it. TOO many problems. We already have potential locker room probs 44ever 01-15-2009, 12:36 PM Are you kidding me? It's not who plays his position better. Yes QB is more important than reciever If a starter relieved Romo the offense would function fine maybe better in big games. Yes I agree the Cowboys would be fine without TO but not as fine. I also think the Cowboys would be just as effective without Romo if the Williams, Crayton, Austin and Witten equivalent of a QB stepped in. Cowboys probably won't release TO anyway 44ever 01-15-2009, 12:45 PM We could DEFINATELY use his talent! IMO, we cannot afford the baggage that goes with it. My original thought was not wanting to see him leave the NFL. Because I personally like watching him play football. I also agree Portis and TO can't be compared MonkFan4Life 01-15-2009, 01:09 PM The problem with T.O. is that he has unquestionable talent. Right now he'd be a significant upgrade over anything that we have now. Nothing against Moss but T.O. is just a playmaker. I'd love to have him but not trying to be too cliche, we have many more things to fix on this team. The money could be well spent somewhere else. I wanted him when the Eagles got him, then when the Cowboys got him. Yeah he's an ass and all but the guy does make your team better. MTK 01-15-2009, 01:14 PM He's still a very productive NFL wr and probably will be the next 3 years. I'm agree, but is he a guy you would want to give a big contract to? I'm not sure I would. MTK 01-15-2009, 01:15 PM Why? I think his resume speaks for itself, great player, but always a ticking time bomb, and at this point he's on the downside of his career. Eknox 01-15-2009, 02:24 PM I'd like to see them keep him, and him to keep destroying the team ...how bout them cowboys....ya gotta love it markymark 01-15-2009, 02:25 PM maybe danny boy can control him!!!!!!! |
