Just heard our tight end coach Rennie Simmons retired today

My girlfriend will be really upset about this.

She really loves watching the guys bend over during a play.

This is Zorn's chance to get some WCO coaches in here.
With WCO teams like the Seahawks, Jets and Broncos shaking up their staffs i hope to see a few WCO guys added to the staff. Jim Mora named Gregg Knapp OC in Seattle, this gives Zorn and Vinnie the chance to go after Gil Haskell as an 'Offensive Consultant' or something and Jim Lind as TE coach.

Offensive Coordinator; born September 24, 1943, San Francisco. Defensive back San Francisco State 1961, 1963-65. No pro playing experience. College coach: Southern California 1978-1982. Pro coach: Los Angeles Rams 1983-1991, Green Bay Packers 1992-97, Carolina Panthers 1998-99, joined Seahawks in 2000.

Coach Bio
Named to his current position on January 20, 2000, Haskell joined his long-time friend and peer Mike Holmgren. As the team’s offensive coordinator, Haskell works closely with Holmgren in implementing an innovative and precise offensive scheme. His sole responsibility is guiding the offense.

College coach: St. Cloud State 1977-78, St. John's (Minn.) 1979-1980, Brigham Young 1981-82, Minnesota-Morris 1983-86 (head coach), Wisconsin-Eau Claire 1987-1991 (head coach). Pro coach: Green Bay Packers 1992-98, joined Seahawks in 1999.

Jim Lind originally joined the Seahawks on January 14, 1999. He enters his tenth year with the Seahawks and ninth coaching tight ends.

The only coach still with Mike Holmgren since 1999, Lind works with second-round pick John Carlson in 2008.

Originally joined the team as its linebackers coach. With the untimely passing of defensive coordinator Fritz Shurmur in 1999 prior to training camp, Lind coordinated the Seahawks’ defensive unit. That defense recorded an NFL-leading 30 interceptions while holding opponents to just 19 passing touchdowns.

Finally, we are starting to get rid of those old coaches from the Gibbs Era 1.0. I just hope Jim Zorn's arrogance does not get in the way and that he finally realizes that he needs help to get this WCO off of the ground. BY the way he needs to fire our receivers coach. I love Buges but he needs to go to since he we need some young minds in the coaching staff.

Um no. Let Zorn bring in who he wants. It's his offense so let him bring in his own guys. Warren is a scout and to my knowledge has not coached on the NFL level.

He's a defensive coach. A LB's coach moved to coach TE's which by the way I was not impressed with Seatles TE's.

^ I don't know. He also did a pretty darn good job with rookie TE John Carlson. I think it just shows the man can coach.

You aren't impressed with his work with rookie TE John Carlson?(NFL Stats: by Player Position (http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?archive=false&conference=null&statisticPositionCategory=TIGHT_END&season=2008&seasonType=REG&experience=0&tabSeq=1&qualified=true&Submit=Go)) who finished the season with 55 catches for 627 yards and five touchdowns which lead all rookie TEs in yards, receptions, touchdowns, and every other meaningful stat. Carlson is his 1st really talented TE but Lind has managed to get good production from other TEs like Itula Mili and Jerramy Stevens.

Many coaches have been on both sides of the ball, if you really think about it being a former linebackers coach would actually help when it comes to coaching TEs.
