I still can't believe he named his newborn son after Favre (well, his middle name anyway). It seemed convenient mid-season when Favre looked good and the Jets were 8-3. What's he going to tell him when he gets older? I named you after a selfish old QB who only came to my team to spite the Packers, threw 22INTs during the season in which you were born, totally wet the bed down the stretch, and his lousy play may have cost your dad his first head coaching job... ooops.

Good luck in Cleveland, Cangini.

There will be plenty of times when the boy will drive him crazy and it will fit just fine. :spank:

You guys think they'll trade Anderson or Quinn this off-season, or neither? My guess is they'll try to dump off Anderson for some mid round pick. Probably try to trade KWII as well.

I think they'll dump Anderson, but not too sure about KWII. I thought he was the lone bright spark on the team because he was the only one hanging onto the ball. Stallworth was always injured, and Edwards had a bad case of the dropsies, plus J.Lewis is getting older. I think KWII stays

KWII is a major pain in the ass, I wouldn't be surprised to see them dump him.

i cant figure out why these teams keep recycling these old retreads. that's part of the reason i like the skins choice of Zorn. Mangini obviously got fired for a reason

dmek25:

Hard to call Mangini an "old retread". Unless I calculated incorrectly, he is the second youngest coach in the NFL - only Tomlin (Pitts) is younger.

Mangini had two winning seasons out of three with the Jets. It's been a while since Browns' teams have won two out of three seasons. Who was the last Redskins' coach to leave town with more winning seasons than losing seasons on his plate? I believe that would be Gibbs 1.0...

Having said that, I think the Browns jumped the gun on this hiring because there was no groundswell of interest in Mangini anywhere else in the NFL so why they didn't hold off until they had a GM under contract to be sure that the GM and Mangini were "simpatico" is a mystery to me.
