Entertained by the fact that Todd Collins' cap number is higher than that of Jason Campbell's.

Boy, was that a waste of a contract.

I'm not sure that was a complete waste. He did win something like 5 in a row to get the team to the playoffs in 2007. If not for that, Gibbs 2 would have been a total flop.

This is off-topic, so i apologize, but i didnt want to start a new thread for a simple question and this seemed to be the best place for it:

Carlos Rogers claims in yesterdays Washington Times article that this is the last year of his contract - Yet thewarpath capsheet has him on the books through 2011. So what gives? Has he met performance incentives which void the sixth and seventh years of the contract he signed as a rookie? I realize Carlos isnt able to go anywhere if the CBA expires, but i'm just curious about this discrepancy.

I didn't take what he said to necessarily mean this was the last year of his contract, that said I am pretty certain that the last couple of years of his deal are voidable

I was just surprised it was a 7 year deal. i think the maximum length of rookie contracts the league allowed was 6 years. Either way, theres no way we'll let him walk next year, so its something of a moot point.

Think we can lock him up now that we cut Taylor?

With Taylor's release and the salary cap at $127.05M, I have us at $11.952M of cap room.

That number will probably be adjusted up another $1.5 million or so, once all the numbers are officially in for the adjusted cap number

Top post in this thread was adjusted to reflect this.

One other thing, we've got Golston listed as a low tender. But just an FYI, while I've heard that, I've also heard that he received the 2nd round tender. If I confirm for sure either way, I'll let you know.

Just found some info on the individual team cap adjustments.

The Skins cap limit went up by $1.427475M.

I now have us at $13.380M of cap room.
