Lotus 04-24-2009, 09:00 PM Did we sign someone today or not? I heard LT...wtf? We signed OT Mike Williams of Bills and Jags fame. GridIron26 04-25-2009, 05:20 PM NFL.com Blogs » Blog Archive Chiefs, QB Cassel agree on six-year deal « (http://blogs.nfl.com/2009/04/25/qb-cassel-chiefs-reach-agreement-on-new-six-year-deal/) KC looks like they basically penciled Cassell as QB starter - I really do like Thipgen, he makes mistakes but he learns from them.. He could blossom if given a chance.. CRedskinsRule 04-25-2009, 05:26 PM Steelers extend Ward also. no link right now sorry GridIron26 04-25-2009, 05:47 PM Steelers extend Ward also. no link right now sorry Source: Pittsburgh Steelers sign WR Hines Ward to four-year extension - ESPN (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4099845) CRedskinsRule 04-25-2009, 06:12 PM thanks tryfuhl 04-25-2009, 11:52 PM NFL.com Blogs » Blog Archive Chiefs, QB Cassel agree on six-year deal « (http://blogs.nfl.com/2009/04/25/qb-cassel-chiefs-reach-agreement-on-new-six-year-deal/) KC looks like they basically penciled Cassell as QB starter - I really do like Thipgen, he makes mistakes but he learns from them.. He could blossom if given a chance.. Was nearly a given. tryfuhl 04-25-2009, 11:52 PM Well that's what they deserve (Cincy) for not moving him earlier. Cincy knew they were going to lose either CJ or TJ; I don't understand why they didn't get rid of CJ when teams were interested in him and he wanted to leave. That organization needs to implode and get a new FO and coach. For all of you that cry about the Redskins being in a bad situation, well guess what, there are teams in terrible situations and Cincy is one of them. They wanted to not set a precedent for allowing players to demand trades; heh, you reap what you sow. Lotus 04-26-2009, 12:33 AM I can't find a link yet but NFLN reported that, in the wake of drafting Curry, they have taken the franchise tag away from LB Leroy Hill. This makes him an unrestricted free agent. JGisLordOfTheRings 04-26-2009, 12:37 AM ^^^this was on NFLN also. I think it would be a decent pickup but he would def want big money. He led the Seattle D in tackles last year so.... Lotus 04-26-2009, 01:13 AM In the wake of tackles taken high in the draft, we might find the Bungles releasing Levi Jones, as The Goat has very helpfully indicated several times. The Jags may release Tony Pashos. And the Giants may release one of their many OT's. We may find free agent help at RT which is a better bet than Mike Williams. |
