SmootSmack 03-11-2009, 11:16 AM I tend to look at this thread more as a news wire. Just a place to dump all the news about free agents throughout the league.
But when we're talking about Redskins players, or players we are or could/should be targeting those merit their own threads.
Nflnick11 03-11-2009, 12:30 PM doughty sucks, hopefully he'll be cut by the start of the season

Shouldn't this be in a separate thread... :FIREdevil

why settle for one when you can have 13?
skinsfan_nn 03-11-2009, 05:20 PM The possible JT move to NE would come of no surprise.
COULD JASON TAYLOR WIND UP IN NEW ENGLAND?
Posted by Aaron Wilson on March 11, 2009, 4:05 p.m.
After creating a void at outside linebacker when they traded Mike Vrabel to the Kansas City Chiefs, the New England Patriots are regarded as a potential destination for veteran free agent defensive end Jason Taylor, according to Mike Reiss of the Boston Globe.
A six-time Pro Bowl selection who leads all current NFL players with 120 1/2 sacks, Taylor, 34, was cut earlier this month by the Washington Redskins.
According to the Globe, Taylor, 34, would fit the Patriots’ need for a proven pass rusher. The point is seconded by Dave Hyde of the Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel.
Plus, as the article notes, Taylor and Tom Brady are good friends.

Better him that Peppers I say. Darth Hoody is going to brainwash JT into going to OTAs and he will inject him with his magic formula that makes old defensive players stay healthy and play well.

Ruhskins 03-12-2009, 05:37 PM Boy, I sure hope one of those 7 defensive lineman can play wideout. LOL. On a serious note, getting a traffic violation(s) is not a big deal, however given Burress' troubles, I wonder how will this affect him (and whether this will tick off Goodell).

skinsfan_nn 03-12-2009, 05:59 PM I would be surprised if the iggles don't get in mix to acquire Boldin. They have I think 12 draft picks (or something crazy?) and a lot of cap space. And the need.
CARDINALS SHOPPING BOLDIN

Kurt Warner might get to keep his $2 million, after all.
A league source tells us that the Arizona Cardinals are shopping receiver Anquan Boldin to potential trade partners.
Warner recently has suggested that he’d devote a portion of his salary to signing Boldin to a new contract. (We don’t think Warner really means it.)
Boldin, a six-year veteran, is signed through 2010. He has wanted for roughly a year a significant increase from his current range of $2.5 million to $3 million.
With teammate Larry Fitzgerald at $10 million per year, Boldin is believed to want at least $9 million annually.
Boldin previously has requested a trade. At one point after the Super Bowl, Boldin said that he would not sign a new deal with the Cardinals, and that he wanted to be dealt to a new team. More recently, he had softened in his position, expressing a willingness to consider a new long-term contract to stay with the team.

I would wait for someone else to report this, if this is true, I wonder what has happened.
