Lets slap the franchise tag on Montgomery or Golston, hell throw it on Doughty. I want to feel good about a player on our team not being able to leave. I am sick of all these teams using this to keep players, when we just give them all life time contracts.

This is interesting, I wonder what team will go after him...maybe a trade between NE and Carolina (Cassel for Peppers). I know player for player trades are rare in the NFL, but I could see this happening.

that would be a very interesting trade and would fill needs for both teams. on the surface, i think the Pats would need to package Cassel with a draft pick, but the Pats are notorious for getting the better end of trades, so i could see it being a straight-up player for player trade.

3 yrs 45 mil? thats just astronomical. wow. i gotta read up on that.

hopefully all this activity means we might hear something soon about hall and kendall. i am dying for some real actual news.

Damn, any chance we can get that hometown discount from Hall? Huh? Any takers? LOL.

My guess is by Wednesday (maybe Thursday), the Redskins re-sign Hall at a price for about 6 years, $44 million and $14 million guaranteed. Total guess. Either way, I think we'll keep him.
