Id kill to get McCallister, cut Springs and his 8 million salary
as well as Smoot....McCallister can play the nickle with Hall and Rogers starting
McCallister brings a real tough veteran presence and he knows how to win....

Why get another Springs (McCallister), and we could always go for a cheap deal for stacy andrews, especially if andrews plays G and T.

Robertson went from a 3-4 defense, where he wasn't a good fit to a terrible defense in Denver. I wonder if it would be worth picking him up for cheap. He's 27 yrs. old and he seems to be talented. He has had a history of injuries, but played 15 games last season. Any thoughts?

I don't think it'd hurt to talk to him. He's been a disappointment considering where he was drafted but he's young and he's got talent

Plus he played in a terrible Denver defense, maybe he'd do better for us. But once again, for the right price.

On another note, here's another link about AZ tagging Dansby...

it couldnt hurt, but i dont see him as being an upgrade over either Golston or Monty. Between Golston, Monty, Alexander, and Evans, we have plenty of "depth" on our d-line. what we need a truly dominant starter... something i doubt we find this year in free agency and the draft.

I agree with that. But one thing that's kind of being overlooked is the free agents we have. Evans and Montgomery are both UFAs, Golston is an RFA. Griffin and/or Daniels could be cap casualties. I don't think there's a high demand for any of them and we're probably bring most, if not all, back. But it's not out of the realm of possibility that if the Redskins think there's a better alternative out there they'll let some of their free agents walk.
