I would offer him a contract. Don't know what the market would be like for his services though. He had a really rough year, but might be a better cover guy than Hall (assuming this year wasn't indicative of a decline). Not that Blache would ever play him or anything. I think he struggled in Detroit because of the zone coverage scheme, and of course the fact, Detroit's D as a whole was horrible. His INTs dropped, but his pass deflections were still pretty good, and he forced 3 fumbles. He probably won't command a lot of money because he's only had one solid year, so that's good. He's still young, and I think he could be a decent #2 corner and definitely a good nickel corner. He went to Northwestern High School in Hyattsville, and you know how the Skins love local guys. One thing I like about this year FA is the depth in CBs, we can get some good CBs like Dunta as nickel but D Hall and C Rogers should be our starters. He's going to cost a lot of money to keep around here. He's great in run support and coverage for the most part, but if you're going to pay a guy top end money, it shouldn't be someone who doesn't get many INTs and offenses target. | |
