I'm pretty sure there's a short list of things that are more dangerous then a healthy, motivated, and confident Jason Taylor. Time has now given him a relatively clean bill of health while this whole season provides him with all the motivation he'll need going into the off season, but it's this last game thats probably gone a long way towards restoring JT's confidence. And personally if he plays well against San Francisco I can see little reason to not bring him back assuming he accepts a pay cut.

Personally I doubt few people will train as hard as Taylor will this off season, unfortunately maybe dancing with the stars did more harm then good in terms of getting him ready for the season. A full offseason hitting the track and the weight room will probably go a long way towards returning Jason back to form.

I really hope he comes back next season. The Redskins gave up way too much for this guy to only have him for 1 injury-riddled season. I'd like to see him play a couple more seasons. I truly believe he'll be back in a big way next year.

HAIL!!

Taylor's best days are long gone. If he comes back and is a starter, then we can assume that the gross negligence of Vinny Cerrato continued in off-season 2009. And we are in trouble again. Other problem is, if you draft or sign a real pass rusher, Jason Taylor at $8 million in a reserve role really makes no sense for that kind of money.

I think so, whether the front office has those same thoughts I don't know. I'd like to see him come back and play on the interior.

Defensive coordinator Greg Blache said after the game that he hopes Jason Taylor returns for a second season in Washington.

I want Taylor back, but he's gotta restructure the contract or go kick rocks.

I like the way Blache moved him around last game but i also think that Rocky Mac or Chris Wilson could have done the same thing.

how many years does he want to go, knowing that he likely won't get the ring?

Now way Jose!!!!!!! He had a very nice game against the Eagles for sure, but you don't give him that kind of money for what he gave you this season as a whole. Sign him for one more year with the option for a second with a restructured contract for a lower amount. Shouldn't give a guy a sweetheart of a deal for not being able to perform or subpar play for most of the season.

One stellar game doesn't make up for what was a no show season for JT. Plus you don't know if he will be healthy for all of '09. Spend the extra money on more FA's or draftees. JT isn't the future.
