I'm completely worn out after our 10-3 win over the Eagles. But I'm just sorry that Portis unloaded on the head coach instead of saying something positive that could have influenced the Cincinnati game.

Not nearly enough. 4 I think.

Agreed. I liked seeing Fred Davis out there today and liked what I saw. I do hope we win next, I think that will seal any talks of Zorn's job being in jeopardy (winning record for a rookie coach with a bad offense).

Offseason priorities: offensive line rebuilding and taking a look at the playcalling on offense.

But doesn't Zorn run the bad offense.

That's probably as late as possible. There are a bunch of other teams with a chance at 9-7 records. We'd probably draft before most of them.

i really like the idea of picking in the teens vs a top 5 pick. the nfl really needs to rework how these top 5 - 10 picks get paid. it basically forces a franchise to be financially commited to a guy who hasnt played a snap yet. jake long, robert gallery got more money than samuels before they even took the field.

we are in a great position as it appears there are atleast 5-8 lineman worthy of our pick . . just hope vinny doesnt trade down b/c then he seems to find these "skilled" position players in the second whom he grades out as a 1st round talent . . oh vinny, vinny vinny.

Pretty sure it's 4. Rounds 1,3,5,7. Basically 3 worthwhile picks then. Ugh!!! Looking at our needs: 3 very solid o-lineman (starters and competitive backup), OLB, playmaker DT and possibly another corner... I'll bet we spend some money in the FA market again this year.

Free agency and I'll bet we trade out of the first round again (or into the late first round) and pick up a couple of 2nd round picks.

If we finish 9-7 the season isn't a total loss but we need to make a legit stride next year. We have hovered around mediocre for the last 5 years.

I do think todays win saved Zorn's job for sure (if it was ever in jeopardy)
I think you are correct, and if we do beat the 49ers, he is safe for sure. He needs to get his shit together though with his offensive scheme though for next year. We won yesterday because of our D causing a turnover in Philly territory. Young guns or not, Zorn has to mix it up a bit for '09.

Would be the smart thing to do. Getting more upper round picks will increase the chances of getting more quality linemen and maybe a CB. What is our cap situation?

If we can trade down five or six spots and get a second I'd say do it.

tight. Unfortunately with no cap in 2010 I have no idea how restructuring works. I'm certain it's still possible, though.
