I thought Vinnie said that yeah Zorn was coming back and that the story about his job being in jeopardy was media driven

That's pretty much the impression I got.

Amen. The reality is that our coach is irrelevent until we get rid of VC and put a real GM in place. Our talent has at best a 10 win upside if everything goes right. In the 10 years VC has been involved we have never had a roster that had Super Bowl talent.

Again, with that whole "real GM" I still don't know what that means exactly.

I'm still a big proponent of giving Scott Campbell a bigger voice in our front office machinations. But in all honesty, I could see him getting the axe if we were to bring in someone like a Cowher (should Cowher want front office say). I still think that by 2010, no matter what happens with Cowher or whoever, Cerrato won't be running the football operations but will still serve with the team in some other executive capacity.

But I digress, as for Vinny, what are we judging him on? Is it 2008, because it's too early to judge this draft class in my opinion and I'll grant you the Taylor trade has hurt us more than it helped. Is it 2004-2007, because you can't really judge him and not remember that Gibbs and even Williams had a large, if not larger than VC, role in the selection of our personnel. Is it 2002-2003, because all he did was hand over to Spurrier anything he wanted (paging Jacquez Green). Here I'll agree with you that his mistake and Snyder's was continuing to bow to Spurrier's wishes (except for a couple of occasions). Is it 2001? Well it can't be obviously. So I guess it's really down to 2000
