Could probably start at center or guard in his first year and, barring injury, could be a pro bowl caliber player for many years. Player Bio: Alex Mack :: Football (http://calbears.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/mack_alex03.html) Redskin Warrior 12-28-2008, 12:14 AM Terrance Cody from alabama should be available when we pick in Round 1 Antoine Caldwell center from Alabama we should pick up in Round 3 I would love for Antoine Caldwell to be a Redskin. He is a All-SEC center plays hard and always gives it 110%. Plus we are from the same hometown and went to high school with him and his brothers. Tarvaris Jackson is also from Montgomery, AL too but he played for the rival school. 53Fan 12-28-2008, 12:41 AM If we could get Eugene Monroe OT out of Virginia in the first and have Alex Mack center-guard a projected 2nd to 3rd rounder fall to us in the 3rd, I would be happy with our draft. There are a few defensive guys I would like to get on our defense but I think we can win next year with the D we have. Being a defensive type of guy, I would love a Michael Johnson or a big defensive tackle, but protecting JC is a priority if we're going to get the offense where we want it to be. Maybe hit the defensive side of the ball in free agency. Maybe hit the defensive side of the ball in free agency. That's logical thinking. I could deal with that. Sonny9TD 12-28-2008, 10:52 AM If the Redskins trade down the next available OL to draft on offense are either Cirion Black or Duke Robinson or possibly Tyson Jackson on the DL. If they don't trade down it sure looks like Eugene Monroe is a no brainer. But that might mean Vinny won't do it. Trample the Elderly 12-31-2008, 08:45 PM I like maleluga or laurenitis for the first pick. I also like Duke Robinson. I'm not to happy with the mercenaries we're picked up over the years. I do like London Fletcher and Portis though. These worked out well for us. I would've liked to have gotten that kid Mason too. If we did pick up someone on the O or D lines then they had better be younger, cheaper, and not signed for too long to keep them hungry. I also like Phil Loadholt. We need to get bigger and younger on both lines. I think we will cut or move around the lines, the O more than the D. I saw the O-line get better at pass protection this year. I just think JC isn't that great, yet.... He has improved. I wouldn't worry about the penalties that much with younger guys on the line because the old guys are committing them too. What I really want to see is how many of these guys who are undrafted try out and who makes it. I think that we have some real potenial at getting a diamond in the rough for costume jewelry money. MeanEvilSkin 12-31-2008, 10:05 PM I really want Duke Robinson (G -- Oklahoma) and Alex Mack (C -- California). If we could trade down and pick up a 2nd, we might be able to get both of them. In the third, Phil Loadholt (T -- Oklahoma) could play right tackle. I wouldn't mind seeing three OL picks this year. I know we need help on the d-line, but this draft is stronger in O-Line prospects. This woud be the draft to have three 2nd round picks. 53Fan 12-31-2008, 11:28 PM I really want Duke Robinson (G -- Oklahoma) and Alex Mack (C -- California). If it were to happen, I would say Vinny has more than proved himself! MeanEvilSkin 12-31-2008, 11:37 PM That would be a draft I could feel very good about.
