not worth the money but I'd hate to see him go
Jason Taylor says he's not worth $8 million44ever 12-18-2008, 06:31 PM not worth the money but I'd hate to see him go diehardskin2982 12-18-2008, 07:06 PM hope he takes a pay cut if that what he thinks. He will rebound with the right coordinator and right player with him. 47FAN 12-18-2008, 07:08 PM lower contract and and give him less playing time to keep his legs fresh FRPLG 12-18-2008, 07:49 PM I'd love to bring him back at a cheaper price. He isn't healthy. At all. I'd like to see the guy suit up for us at least whole year healthy. I guarantee he can be very valuable to us. holcknowsbest 12-18-2008, 08:50 PM i think he would restructure too.....i heard the interview on the junkies radio show, they made a good point, its not him. not one guy on our dline has gotten to the quarterback. i am starting to think that greg blache is running a scheme that is so vanilla it is deteramental to the pass rush.........i think taylor wanted to agree with these assessments but stayed above the nonsense to avoid further locker room dissent. but its starting to make a whole lote of sense and taylor also said "though his production is down, this dog can still hunt, i just need to get comfortable and be in the right situations." 47FAN 12-18-2008, 10:04 PM they didnt seem to blitz alot but when they did(very rarely)they got good pressure. i just dont think it was often enough GTripp0012 12-18-2008, 10:21 PM Good news is that we didn't do the moronic thing after the deal and sign him to a long term thing to lower the cap hit. Don't worry though, there's still time to screw this one up. GTripp0012 12-18-2008, 10:27 PM There's no reason at all that he SHOULD consider a pay cut, he signed this current deal in Miami when he was well worth the money. That contract was picked up by the Redskins in good faith. The Dolphins ate ALL of Taylor's guarenteed money when he was dealt here, so here's what the Redskins should do once they decide that Taylor is not worth the money. Cut him. Negotiate a two year contract with him that pays him how we are expecting him to play. And if somebody wants him more than we do (trust me, there won't be), he's gone and all we lose is the 2nd round pick we've already lost anyway. SmootSmack 12-19-2008, 09:43 AM I thought the part where he says he can still play and implies that he's not being used right here is being overlooked. irish 12-19-2008, 10:39 AM It says in today's Post that the compartment syndrome that messed his leg up is still bleeding so obviously he's not and hasnt been 100% this year. I'm not saying he's worth $8mil but I dont think he's been able to really show what he can do. |
