Beemnseven 12-14-2008, 08:22 PM I think Fletcher has a good two years left. H.B. Blades is supposed to be his eventual replacement.
Not exactly sold on H.B. Blades or McIntosh for that matter. But linebackers always look better when there's a decent line in front of them.
RMSkins 12-14-2008, 08:29 PM While we might find somebody better than Kendall if we wait to hit the market, we should probably work to resign him for two years or so before he hits the market. If we're going to target Alex Mack, I hope we trade down out of the first to do so. Middle of the first, he's probably overvalued. We could use our se.....well at least Jason Taylor is under contract next year!
Rinehart and Heyer have to earn their starting roles. We can't just give them roles. I would make a play for a center in free agency, and leave the rest of the line be after releaseing Rabach. I would then make a concerted effort to put a lot of responsibility on our young guys in the offseason, and see who can handle it and earn their way into the starting lineup.
I agree. Kendall has been our only consistent O-lineman this year.

If we can trade down and get an extra pick AND get Mack, I would say that is a very good move on our part. I would be happy with that. :)
53Fan 12-14-2008, 08:57 PM I've watched all the Cal games and by buddy who goes to all the games and meets with players says, this is a can't miss sure future HOF caliber player, plus he's is an academic All-American (smart)
I'm sold. This is the kind of guy we need.
EARTHQUAKE2689 12-14-2008, 09:00 PM Michael Johnson out of Ga Tech as well would be a nice pickup
GTripp0012 12-15-2008, 12:42 AM Really good year to earn a last place schedule though, means we'll have St. Louis and Detroit again next year. They could actually pick one-two in the draft this year.
GTripp0012 12-15-2008, 12:48 AM Hey, we hold all the tiebreakers now! So if we get to 9-7...
ah, forget it.
Anyway, the playoff picture, if Philly wins tomorrow, goes something like this:
1) Win out
2) Dallas must lose to Baltimore
3) Tampa must lose to San Diego and Oakland
4) Atlanta must lose to Minnesota and St. Louis
5) Chicago must lose to either Green Bay or Houston
IF Philly loses tomorrow, either No 3 or No 4 (but not both) can be replaced by "Philadelphia must beat Dallas".
Yay for totally impossible odds!
Joe Kidd 12-15-2008, 12:50 AM The fat lady has screamed from the top of her lungs!
Stick this season in a doggie bag because it's over!
GTripp0012 12-15-2008, 12:54 AM I don't know what's worse, losing to Cincinnati and St. Louis in the same season while combining for 5 fumbles lost or having to rely on St. Louis and Oakland to make the playoffs
:D
mapod 12-15-2008, 12:55 AM So, we're not mathematically eliminated yet. Whatever. At least last week at this time, we could say that if we won out, we would likely make the playoffs. Now, that's not even true. We're done.
So, we'll probably be drafting somewhere in the middle of the round. Discuss potential first round draft picks here.
I'm hoping they "draft" a GM that knows what he is doing Vinny needs to go away perhaps a career in radio this ass hat's ....picking up and drafting of underachievers needs to stop now!
