Good Sunday morning from the press box at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati.

The inactives have been released by the Redskins, and the only surprise is that receiver Malcolm Kelly won't be in uniform. Kelly is a healthy scratch.

Who's out: QB Colt Brennan, Kelly, S Chris Horton, LB Marcus Washington, G Will Montgomery, T Jon Jansen, OL D'Anthony Batiste and DT Cornelius Griffin.

CB Shawn Springs will play, and DT Kedric Golston is back after missing a few games.

TE Fred Davis is back in uniform after sitting out three straight games.

The Redskins also say DeAngelo Hall is starting for Carlos Rogers, which is interesting, but I don't think it's a big deal.
taken from the washington times. interesting that kelly is a healthy scratch

Wow, I love the support. Dude if we win today with Atlanta and Dallas losing were right back in it.

right back in what? Who would we beat in the playoffs. Titans. Giants. Tampa?Dallas just handed it to us. It's nice that you are optimistic but as Skins fans we need to be realistic. I'd rather see us play some young talent. Move some vets around on the line and gain some perspective on next year. Sorry. I love the Skins to but it's time to get real.

If Springs starts opposite Hall then I understand this. Rogers IMHO (and I know I'm gonna get lashed for this) is not on the level Springs and Hall are on. Hall puts himself in great position to defend and get picks. Springs is just an amazing athlete. I sort of think Rogers, as I said in another thread, is a moron. Sometimes he plays neither the receiver nor the ball - he's just running alongside someone like a dog or something. (Damn, now i'm really gonna get it).

Kelly has dropped passes and missed opportunities. Replacing him w/ Davis could mean some two TE sets! Be a great game to open things up.I have to disagree about Hall. He is very good at catching the ball when he gets his hands on it, but Rogers has consistently put himself in better position to make plays, but he has poor hands. If you look at a the passes defended stat, that's a pretty good indication of how often a DB is in position to make a play on the ball, and Rogers is among the leaders this season. Lastly, Hall's INT against Dallas was not the product of solid positioning, but was rather a severely underthrown ball by Romo. Hall was beaten to the inside by TO, and better throw would have resulted in a big play for Dallas.

so predictable...

I think we lose EVERY game when we take the ball first.

I do believe that should have been a penalty since driving your helmet into your opponent's facemask is illegal.
