Sorry but give me a break. Do you think the great head coaches tell a player when they pull them during the game why they did it right then? Hell no. I can just see Parcells going over and sitting on the bench and explaining to Terry Glenn why he benched him. And what do you think would have happened to Glenn if he went to the media like Portis did?

It's also a lot of simple miscommunication and poor choice of words. Zorn says Portis misses practice, and Portis says "I never miss practice. I'm always there." Well he probably is, but I think Zorn's point was it's not the same as actually participating in the practice. It's like that old joke

Teacher: "Why'd you miss school yesterday?"

Student: "I didn't miss it. I was absent, but I didn't miss it"

It's all a play on word. Just like Lawyers. lol. but there needs to be communication. The coach needs to inform the players of his intentions. Then not go on Tv and blame or name or throw under the bus players for their performance. Good coach's in my opinion are the ones that don't do that and point out that the team did not perform. If Zorn wants to keep using the "Execution" word fine but be vague as to who's not executing. Simply say the play didn't go as I planned it. Point out what the end result of the play was supposed to be and move on.

Sorry but I find it funny that people aren't jumping on CP for airing crap like this out to the media. He is a veteran player and should know nothing tears a team apart more then doing crap like this. If TO did this, we would be commenting about how TO is such a cancer and glad he isn't on our team. Portis is probably the best player on our team and needs to be a leader and true leaders of teams know you keep this in the locker room.


No, not just jumping on CP. I find it funny that Zorn has been airing garbage all year and no one is jumping on the coach. Some are trying to say it's ok for the coach and not the player. All I'm saying is "What's good for the goose is good for the gander." Don't jump on CP if you didn't jump on Zorn. We have inside info to the Skins soap box locker room like everyone wanted and now everyone is crying foul. You can't beat your children for doing something wrong then go right out there and do it also. and I grew up with the "do as I say and not as I do" parents.

No, your right. They wouldn't. but don't air your grievence on TV and not talk to the player or employee. How would you like to find out your not doing your job or being told how you should do your job through the TV or newspaper first?

Everytime something goes wrong he goes around calling people out. He does it with the O-line and now he's doing it to Zorn. The guy is a baller, no one can question that, but I'm getting tired of CP. Is it me or is CP one of the most high maintenence guys in the NFL?

More than anything this outburst from Portis signals a bigger problem, a lack of direct communication between player and coach, and for that you have to place the blame with Zorn. He's the coach, he's the supposed leader, he needs to fix this.
