If Zorn is canned after one year... I am officially not a Skin's fan. I will burn my gear.

I swear.

No coach will succeed here until th talent evaluation improves, which means Cerrato has to go. He is on record as saying he doesn't like drafting lineman, he would rather 'get' them after they have proven themselves. Well, by the time we get them, the are the Bruce Smith's and Jason Taylor's of the world.

If he does get fired I will most likely become a casual fan. There is no way I would be able to stomach loving something I don't believe in.

I'll be the 1st to say....i'm all for Bill Cowher. He's a proven winner. His teams always had great defenses and a great running game. He'll build our lines properly not just plugging the holes. Yeah our offense would be alittle boring but i want to ****ing win.
Listen, I like Zorn but not as a head coach. Hes great as a Qb coach but not HC.
I just don't want to waste 3 to 4 years seeing if Zorn pans out. Sweep this season under the rug hire Bill cut Suisham and we're going to the Superbowl...easy as that :)

I think there needs to be major changes with the rest of the staff. Zorn needs to delegate responsibilities better, but he also needs to do so with coaches he trusts more. Basically, it seems like anyway, that Zorn gives 110% in preparation every week, but whatever facet of the game he overlooks we simply get outcoached in.

I think that the assistants need to do a better job, or if they aren't allowed to do anything, save Snyder the costs.

I think Blache and Bugel will almost definitely retire (remember Blache wanted to at the end of last season). Hixon, Smith, and probably Palermo will be let go. Gray will move up to DC. Olivadotti will take over the line or possibly special teams. Jim Lind comes over from the Seahawks to take over Buge's spot.

Exactly.... not worth the investment.

But on a weekly basis the team does things we don't believe in, yet we still love them. No? I mean I don't believe they should have drafted Fred Davis, I don't believe Jansen should be starting anymore, I don't believe they should have had Suisham attempt that 48 yarder the other day...

Here is how you will know if there is a REAL problem with Zorn keeping his job:

When you start to read in the papers and hear on radio/TV that sources inside Redskin HQS say that Zorn is hard to get along with or that Zorn is not communicating well with some other department in Redskins Inc., then he's gonzo.

That is the Redskin Way. Until you hear that, these are rumors stirred up by low level sources. When you hear the "not communicating" or hard to get along with" kind of stuff, that's from the top.

If - - I said IF - - Zorn goes, look forward to another January like last year when people get run in and out of here for interviews and all eyes are on what Danny Boy is thinking now and what he will do next. If he cant' have a team in the playoffs, then he can be "the story" in January.

Stay tuned - - it's just starting to get interesting.

Even if we lose out and go 7-9, Zorn still should have a job next year. This is stupid, even as great a coach JG is, he went 6-10 his first year back, 8-8 (albeit after an 0-5 start) in his first year. Give Zorn some time, the personnel the JG put in place may be wrong for Zorn's offense. To call the offensive line bad is an understatement, Blache being a defensive line coach before should be able to get some pressure--another problem. If Clinton has such a big mouth, he deserves to be benched, he's injured no point in putting an early end to his career. We saw glimpses of what Devin Thomas can do--catch, so its not that bad. Remember when we fired Marty early? I thinks its too early to be calling for Zorn's head, give him at least another year if not more... great teams aren't born overnight or over an offseason... it takes time!

Why in the world would Cowher want to come here now, especially if Zorn is getting shit-canned after just one year and the same thing happened to Marty? Why would a coach with a good rep ever get near this place? Makes no sense at all. It's not like we look so good that a coach can just walk in and win. You've got serious troubles on both lines. Plus, you've got a prima donna RB mouthing off in the media. And you've Vinny and Danny. Sure, the money would be good, but my guess is that's not enough for a coach like Cowher who's going to get big money wherever he goes. A few extra mil is not going to make a difference.

(I agree that the rumor is a BS piece by someone with a grudge. Plus, the one quote is basically a truism: of course the friggin honeymoon is over! We've lost 4 out of the last 5! Our offense is pathetic! Great story... )
