Why is it that everyone blames Zorn and not the FO (Vinny) look at teams with rookie coaches and the men behind the scenes in the FO. Atlanta (Demetriov), Miami (Parcells), Baltimore (Newsome) and Washington (Cerrato). This is the difference. Dan Snyder if you are reading this board do us all a favor and fire Vinny or hire him as your chauffeur, butler, cook whatever, anything but GM of the Washington Redskins.

Thank You!

If Zorn goes theirs no way Campbell is going to make it here. Everyone complains about JC but, every year he gets a new offense. You can'tchange the offense every year and expect it to get better.

If Cowher or any new coach comes in, you have to open up the QB competition. If JC wins it, good.

I still think Zorn deserves another year but one issue I have: we have had 9 1st quarters out of 14 where we got ZERO point compare that to our opponents first drive (seemed like they got a TD every time but I don't know their stats)
That definitely seems like motivation issues. Maybe to much medium?

Zorn proved today, by not having his team up for this critical game, that he's not ready to be a head coach in the NFL. How did you feel when Zorn was named head coach? I was shocked; it's like going to a guy you hired to be a manager and making him CEO. Snyder made a mistake, and he'll try to undo it ASAP. I bet he offers Cowher $10 million/year.
I know another major change sucks, but since it's bound to happen, why not now? As long as Danny is coach, change will be a constant with the Skins.

That was sort of the general consensus if memory serves. After Danny had 4 years w/ Gibbs I would have expected more maturity and competence so I guess I figured Danny had found a diamond in the rough. Zorn, I hoped, would have the kind of leadership quality we all saw from Gibbs but take the offense to a higher level. I think instead Danny found someone who sort of interviewed like a super optimistic yes-man: the exact opposite of Gregg Williams incidentally.

Snyder still strikes me as a total enigma. The ultra-successful typically have a great talent for recognizing talent, for prognosticating what others are capable of. Snyder appears to be the least perceptive "self-made man" in the country - he is absolutely ****ing terrible at recognizing/managing talent.

Yeah, but there was plenty more to Champ's decision than just football.

On a separate note, I don't think we actually traded Thrash did we? Didn't he go as a free agent to Philly for some ridiculous contract?

Right. Something about another woman? How is it that wasn't an issue in Denver but it would have been in Washington? Oh well.

Thrash I'm not sure about. How about that illegal formation penalty against him today? Hasn't he been in the league for 12 years or so? It used to be that he got a free pass around here for his great special teams play. He's wearing out that pass too.

The big question is whether or not the team is quitting. Everything else is peripheral at this point. While I don't know the answer definitively, it has neither sounded nor looked good recently. It's easy to preach continuity and learning from Gibbs and all that, and I am inclined to agree to an extent, but bringing back a guy who is sure to face the same problems next season merely for continuity's sake is worse than firing someone too quickly.

Losing is one thing. But Zorn is currently captaining a full scale implosion. If the team loses out and the locker room continues to unravel and the playcalling continues to be impotent I don't understand how a change can not be on the table.

After that effort today the answer might be becoming quite clear.

I said yes.

This team has essentially played 2 good games...both in the first month.
We struggled but won after that, then struggled and lost by a score after that.
Then we started blowing critical NFC East games and we got dominated a few times on national TV...can it get worse....sure....at least we'll never get beat by the Bengals......
OOPS.

This team has been progressively getting worse since the first quarter was over.
Why were we good early on?
1 of 2 possibilities.
1...new playcalling, no one had film on us.
2...perhaps our team had Gibbs guts carrying over from last year.

Bottom line, this team isn't incredibly talented.
Yes we have Portis, Moss and Fletcher but thats it.
The only way to make a team with average talent win is by exceptional coaching.
I don't see that right now....therefore, Zorn may be in trouble...expecially if we don't win another game which is a good possibility.

I really think he'll get another season, if for no other reason, so Danny can keep the haters down.

Okay, so what? She decides not to raise hell because he moved to Denver?

Maybe I'm missing something with the story here, somebody will have to fill me in with the details.

I always thought he wanted out of Washington because he was sick of playing for a loser. A big paycheck might have convinced him otherwise though.
