GTripp0012 12-09-2008, 12:45 AM I didn't see any of them play, but it's hard to compare Baugh to anyone else since his claim to fame is revolutionizing the QB position (as well as being one of the best punters the league has ever had and leading the NFL in INTs a few times), not necessarily being a really great passer or anything.
If you give me a vote, I'm taking Jurgensen, but then again, the Brad Johnson era is ancient to me.

Let me see here.
Brennan has never taken a snap in a regular season game.
Brennan struggled mightily in half of the preseason games he played in against 3rd stringers.
Brennan is struggling as a 3rd stringer in practice at Redskins Park.
Brennan has never practiced with the first teamers or otherwise developed a rapport with the receivers.
The coaches think Brennan isn't as good as Collins and have therefore placed him as the #3 QB.
To my knowledge, Brennan hasn't even dressed for a single game.
Campbell has a QB rating in the mid 80s, but has struggled against the #1, #2, #3 and #8 defenses in the league.
But, yeah, lets start Brennan. The Redskins fans' tendency to think the grass is always greener on the other side is alive and well.

The executive decision earlier was no more Colt Brennan threads. This is an attempted hi-jack. I'm not a mod, but I would probably keep this thread close to what it's title reads or it will go bye....
sportscurmudgeon 12-09-2008, 01:53 AM I saw Sammy Baugh play once. I think I was about 8 years old at the time. My only real knowledge of Baugh is the record books and those records/stats say he was the best Skins QB ever.
Here is one of Sammy Baugh's accomplishments that will never be equalled. In a single game, Baugh threw 4 TD passes and had 4 INTs also. He played DB as well as QB. Oh, yeah, he also led the league in punting a couple of times...
Sonny Jurgensen was the second best. I saw him play at least 50 games.
SmootSmack 12-09-2008, 08:30 AM Joe Theismann was very very underrated
But only Casey Bramlet was an MVP overseas

Dude! He didn't have four interceptions he got four interceptions..........he picked those balls off himself while playing safety. And he still holds the league's records for the longest punt.........I believe it was 97 yards and punting average in the season............i can't remember, but I'm a homer so I'm going to say it was 65 yards.
Can you imagine it? Sean Taylor and Sonny Jurgeson combined into one person? So hands down he is the best quarterback the Redskins have ever had.

Im pretty sure Baugh doesnt hold the record for longest punt,I remember reading guiness book of world record in the 70's and Baugh didnt hold the record then,im thinking it was 98 yards by some guy for the jets
but yeah,Baugh was great
redskinjim 12-09-2008, 12:17 PM Theismans been the best that Ive watched,I think Brad Johnson could have been another if Snyder wouldnt have screwed that up
