I disagree with the idea that Eli Manning is all of the sudden some kind of world beating quarterback. He has performed significantly better this season, but in his first four seasons, he couldn't crack a 78.0 QB rating. He's benefited from being on an almost perfectly built football team, and he's probably still the worst part of the offense. He's had all the time in the world to get rid of the ball this season, but when the pressure gets to him, he still has a tendency to make a really terrible throw. The dropped INT in yesterday's game was a direct result of pressure up the middle, and he just launched the ball down the middle of the field. There wasn't a Giant within five yards of it.

Your statement still supports my belief. Eli has been the butt of my jokes for years saying he was the adpoted son in the family. Eli while not a good student still is a Manning so my theory is that Peyton got tired of him bringing shame to the family legacy and tutored him before last season. Why would Peyton not have given him an advantage before the Super Bowl to beat the PATS? Whats good for Eli is good for the Manning family.

Eli yes is still stupid but his game has leaped in the past 2 years. Maybe his bad balls yesterday was related to Burress not being there, maybe the WR messed up, maybe the skins are that good, maybe QB is a hard posistion, maybe just a brain fart, whatever it was it isn't reason to debunk my theory.

Stacks:

Zorn has said at least twice this year that Davis is not playing because Zorn is not confident that Davis can run the plays that are called in the huddle.

If - I said IF - that is even half-true here in the 12th week of the season following the Skins' longer than usual training camp/pre-season, then maybe the Skins need to put more emphasis on Wonderlic scores when they assemble their draft boards. Learning a play-book is not as hard as detecting the Higgs-boson or resolving the Middle East conflict.

And IF that is true, then there isn't all that much reason to expect to see Davis very much next year either. If he can't learn the playbook in 17 weeks, then what makes anyone think he can learn it in 17 months?

Shawn Springs said on Doc Walker's radio show that the Skinis' defense has great difficulty covering Davis in practice. Assuming that is only moderate hyperbole, it gives some credibility to the Zorn commentary.

And that poses a problem because there is no cure for "Dumb"...

Could it be the coaches? We have two players Davis and Thomas who "don't know the playbook", and "run the wrong routes" How is this possible, its the coaches job to get these guys ready, its f-ing week 13, get your best players ready and get them on the field.

One thing that was much more visible from the stadium, but not so much on TV was those gosh dang post routes the Giants kept running on us. Whenever they needed a first down they ran it. It only failed about four times..................I can't believe our defense couldn't adjust and stop those freaking routes! It was very embarrasing!

And Campbell did a good job that game. I remember one play when Tuck came through on a jail break and Campbell just out ran him to the sideline, bought about two more seconds, noone was open so he just took off for a 2 yard gain. Not to many quarterbacks get away from Tuck. So with pressure in his face quite a bit he did a good job. His recievers, rookie or vet, just need to learn how to catch a wet ball; especially on 3rd down. I know I learned how to catch a wet ball when I was about 10 or 11. If I can do it........THEY CAN DO IT TOO!

And that was one thing that was easily noticed on TV and in the Stadium. Our o-line SUCKS! They looked like lost chickens out there! If Buges can't whip this o-line into shape then Danny Boy needs to buy the opposing d-lineman prostitutes before the game! Send them to the team hotel and make sure they stay there until sunrise! That will slow the rush down a little bit!

I'll agree with the Smoot comment. I'll even partially agree with the Hall comment...

about D hall, i really only see him as a step better than smoot but (call me crazy and you will) i think he plays off receivers trying to tempt qbs to throw his way which leads to some ints as well as completions. like he said in oakland, he was trying to jump routes too much (thats an "all about me" not a team thing).

but atleast if he is going to sit off the WR and bait the QB he's trying for the interception. Hopefully they have someone over top to assist if he misses and the WR gets the ball. As for Smoot he used to be that way now he gives the cushion and waits for the WR to catch the ball and then tries to throw his body at the guy ...not trying to wrap up. How many times has he missed a tackle cause the RB side stepped the lunge or leaped over him?
D. Hall seems to be playing better than some of our otehr QBs. But did you see Springs try to steal that INT from Hall and ruined our chance at an interception. Luckily we stopped the Giants on that drive.
