I think Wilbon pretty much sums up my feelings on this nonsense:

Clinton Portis PLAYS HIS HEART OUT every single down. The guy is amazing. His line isn't good enough. They try hard. They're smart. They want to do it...They give it everything they've got. And they're not good enough. Did you watch the Giants? Did you watch the Vikings last night manhandle the Bears in quite a few situations? That's line play, boys and girls. The Redskins can't pound the QB, even though their guys get after it pretty good. The Redskins are 7-5 good...not 10-2 good. They're okay, pretty good, might-make-the-playoffs-but-probably-not good...but they're not great and the QB ain't the problem. Neither is the RB. Neither is the coach. The WRs could be better...but are Tennessee's WRs any better? No. Their lines are better. Both of them. A lot better.

His caps not mine.

Not when you consider it was pretty low to start with.

I think the heart excuse is cop-out bull crap. A foolish, naive and easy answer to a complex problem. I don't think we have a single guy who quit yesterday or didn't try as hard as he could. We just aren't as good as the "heart" club wants to think. They think our boys can simply just ratchet up their desire to win and that will solve all our problems. Sorry but you all fall into the dopey category right now.

aLL IM SAYIN IS THAT IT LOOKED LIKE MOST OF THE DAY PLAYERS WERE JUST GOING THROUGH THE MOTIONS, HENSE ME SAYING THAT THEY LACKED HEART. i WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF ANY OF YOU PEOPLE THAT ARE TRYING TO DOWN WHAT IM SAYING ABOUT HAVING HEART HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH FOOTBALL, EVER EVEN STRAPPED A DAMN HELMET ON. FOOTBALL IS A GAME FULL OF EMOTION. AND GIVING UP AND NOT SHOWING HEART IS SOMETHING THAT CAN BE NOTICED. i NOTICED IT. YES HAVING HEART HAS ALOT TO DO WITH WINNING FOOTBALLGAMES, IT MEANS YOU WONT BACK DOWN WHEN TIMES GET HARD. IF YOU GET PUNCHED IN THE MOUTH YOU WILL PUNCH RIGHT BACK. IT MEANS THAT YOU GO HARD ON EVERY PLAY(EVEN EXTRA POINTS). WE DID NOT SHOW ANY OF THAT YESTERDAY. NONE OF YOU CAN HONESTLY SAY WE PLAYED 100% YESTERDAY. EVERYONE HAS DIFFERENT EXCUSES FOR SHIT. OUR LINE IS OLD OUR COACHING IS BAD, BLAH BLAH BLAH. MAN UPI like the defense of a cliche using every possible cliche that can be thought of. It's classy, yet unrefined.
