Portis, Fletch, Moss The Rest no heartSeanTaGodsSafety 12-01-2008, 09:52 AM I agree we get punched in the mouth and dont punch back. (thats in my sing voice)LOL redsk1 12-01-2008, 09:57 AM The Giants are FAR superior in talent and execution. That has nothing to do w/ heart. Just an example: Giants WR's consist of Burress (of course didn't play yesterday), Toomer, Hixon, Steve Smith (2nd year), S. Moss. How much better are they than the Skins WR's? Alot. We'll see how Thomas and Kelly progress as they have some upside but right now, they're alot better. Their Oline? Maybe the best in the NFL. hooskins 12-01-2008, 09:59 AM This debate is kinda stupid, obviously the Skins had a ton of emotion but we played like shit and got beaten by better players. Lot more to do with skill and one-on-one battles. hell I want to be the best football player in the world, but I highly doubt I will be. Does that make me have no heart? MTK 12-01-2008, 10:04 AM At the end of the day heart only gets you so far. Football comes down to the basics of tackling, blocking, passing, and running the ball. The Giants are simply a better team and did a better job at the basics. If you want heart watch Rudy or something. FRPLG 12-01-2008, 10:26 AM It's always easier to blame one single thing when a team fails because ONE thing can be easily changed. In this case "heart". But in reality our issues are far more complicated and varied. "Heart" has little to do with the fact that our lines are old and slow, our QB isn't making plays, and our receivers don't get open. It isn't "heart" that is causing those problems. SeanTaGodsSafety 12-01-2008, 04:38 PM Prime example. The muffed extra point. That could have swung momentem got the crowd in the game. Got the team goin. But what did everyone do watch Carney kick the ball without even stepping into it. I played football my whole life and you damn well better go hard every play. Heart has a hell of alot to do with yesterdays loss. My coach always said "you quit now you will quit the rest of your life". What do they think the playoffs(if we even make it) are gonna be easy. Man up Forget the excuses. They are proffessionals that get paid to play through adverse situations. Portis is out there every week showin all the heart in the world. For what? How do you think the Browns beat the Giants? HEART GTripp0012 12-01-2008, 04:41 PM How do you think the Browns beat the Giants? HEARTAlso: 3 interceptions. firstdown 12-01-2008, 04:46 PM Prime example. The muffed extra point. That could have swung momentem got the crowd in the game. Got the team goin. How do you think the Browns beat the Giants? HEART Well then how did we beat the Browns? Browns have won 4 games so thats a fine example of a team with heart. SeanTaGodsSafety 12-01-2008, 04:54 PM your missin the point we have a better record then the browns.yes But on that day the browns had more heart and the will to win then the giants. GTripp0012 12-01-2008, 05:00 PM Yeah, stupid team forgot to show heart any other time though. You'd think that they'd stick with what works, but apparently they only have so much heart to show. |
