This is the time of the year that top teams start to play better and put the hammer down. Unfortunately this Skins seem to be fading which is why I dont think the playoffs will happen this year.

My only glimmer of hope is seeing how this team played their best ball with their backs against the wall in 2005 and 2007. Their backs are now against the wall again, we'll see how they respond on Sunday night.

Well put sir.

just looking at what people got left i think we can be in ok shape if we go 10-6. we may not get in with that record but i think it could be good enough....lets let the playoff picture shape another week or two but there are some NFC south matchups that are interesting and the boys still have tough matchups left in philly and pittsburg and i think the giants??? not to sure about that but i think 10-6 will be good enough, so that means 3 out of 4 not 4 out of 4........i like our chances of that......if we stay healthy we could do something in the playoffs, and i would love to see the giants again personally.....i think we were on the right track on sunday making eli beat us.....there was pick we dropped and pick that we did nothing with that could have changed that game......i want them again, and i think our team does too, though i am sure they would not just come out and say that.

Atlanta is 8-4 right now, they would only need to go 2-2 to get to 10-6 and get that 6th playoff spot. We need to go 3-1 and right now realistictly....

vs. Baltimore - tough as nails defense, we could only win if their offense is subpar...but their defense is just too good. (L)

vs. Bengals - we could win this one. (W)

vs. Iggles - A "we should win" game, but they have a good front four in defense that could disrupt our game.

@ San Fran - and this would be our Rams part 2 game, a team we should be able to beat easily, but could end up losing. (L)

Even if we beat the Bengals and S.F., that would put us at 9-7, not good enough to get that 6th playoff spot in the NFC this year, unless a whole bunc of people lose.

I think Atlanta is getting to 11 wins, so we won't catch them. But EVERYONE should pull for Tampa Bay this Monday Night. Both Tampa and Carolina face brutal schedules down the stretch, but ALL of Carolina's 3 losses have come in conference play, and they finish the season on the road at the Giants and at the Saints.

I think if Tampa Bay beats Carolina this week, the Panthers finish 10-6, and we would hold the tie breaker with them if we can get to 10-6 and finish "ahead" of Dallas.

We probably won't hold the tiebreaker with TB if they finish at 10-6, and plus, they seem like a much better team than CAR and would probably rebound and finish 11-5 or better even with a loss this Monday.

So, depending on what Dallas does against Philly and the NYG, I think 10-6 gets us in as long as we can beat Philadelphia.

So depending on what Dallas does, I see:

(Tampa Bay victory)

1. New York Giants
2. Tampa Bay Bucs
3. Arizona Cardinals
4. Minnesota Vikings/Chicago Bears
5. Atlanta Falcons
6. Dallas Cowboys/Washington Redskins

but, (with a Carolina victory)

1. New York Giants
2. Atlanta Falcons
3. Arizona Cardinals
4. Minnesota Vikings/Chicago Bears
5. Carolina Panthers
6. Tampa Bay Bucs/Dallas Cowboys (if Dallas wins 11 games only)

It's a weird feeling to not play a meaningful game in the playoff picture for the next two weeks, but maybe it will be a good thing. All we have to do is avoid being 7-7 and consequently, mathematically eliminated when we face the Eagles in two weeks.

We don't control our own destiny, which is, in itself a crappy feeling, but at least it should take some pressure off this game with the Ravens, who are a much better team than we are.

Honestly, I dont think Dallas or Washington is getting in. I think Atlanta and Carolina will both get in and the South will send 3 teams.

Dallas's stretch is just too brutal, IMO. And we just really arent playing well enough, which I hope changes, but I wont hold my breath.

I'll give Atlanta credit too, no matter what happens the rest of the way. I expected that team to fold and fade so many times this year, and they're still right in position, I tip my hat to them with the crap they've gone through.
