Oakland's pass defense ranks third in the NFL since DeAngelo Hall was released.

He's got great hands, but if we ever rely on him to be more than a No. 3 CB (and basically just Fred Smoot with ball skills), we're really going to get it. I think the talk of releasing Springs is legitimate and everything, but who is going to be the number two corner if Smoot and Springs go? Hall can't play it, and isn't deserving of an extension at starter money.

He'll get it though if he wants it because he's incredibly marketable in the area and his jersey will sell. As a business decision, we are 100% certain to re-sign DeAngelo Hall. The question is: what measures can we take to make sure he doesn't kill us on the football field?

The answer is: get a pass rush. Then you can afford to play some zone defense and let safeties roam, or mix it up with blitzes that get there in under 3 seconds and man coverage...

D hall can cover a number 2 reciever for 3 seconds more than 50% of the time...

His worth comes down to price. I think Rogers has proven himself to be among the elite in the league, honestly. The guy plays some great coverage and can tackle very well... he just doesnt have any hands.

We can't even get pressure with 7-8 men blitzing. There's a huge problem there.

I pick Thomas. That was a hell of a run for our only score. He was given an opportunity and he made the most of it.
